God I'm horrible, waiting a month to update this.Anyway, guys, (if you're still bothering to keep up with this...) I'm making a couple little changes to the game.
And I can sum the first one up in a few words: Less annoying pain modifiers.
I'm sure you're all happy about that. Healing is less necessary because bruises and little cuts aren't going to make you half-useless. Light bruises do absolutely nothing, heavy bruising will now give you a -1 as opposed to anything bigger. Broken bones and big, nasty gashes and such will give you the larger, harder to deal with modifiers that you need to get healed.
Secondly, I'm going to be dividing enemies into two types:
Grunts, and Veterans.
Up until this point, I've considered every enemy a Veteran, meaning that I've given them their own dodge rolls. NO MORE. These Crow Demons you're fighting are Grunts, meaning several of them easily go down in a single turn if you roll well. They have no dodge rolls, so the number that you take out is fully dependent on how well YOU roll.
There will still be a few Veterans. Bosses that are small enough to effectively dodge attacks are considered Veterans, and a besides that, there will usually be a few non-boss Veterans in any given fight.
Except this one. :P
So, without further ado, let's bring this back, shall we?

Torrent (Gillian) (10)
You take the surrounding light and pack it tightly into half a dozen floating orbs which radiate light, then you animate them, giving them a will to follow the Crow Demons around as they fly.
Something unexpected happens.
The demons start catching fire.
One of them charges straight at you, its left half covered in flames (11 v. 7) It loses control of its flight halfway to you and goes spinning, but still manages to smack you square in the chest. You throw it off of yourself quickly, and manage to avoid getting anything more than a bruise.
Your actions this turn disposed of 6 demons!Ociamarru (Nikolai) (11)
Your arms conform to your thoughts, and razor-sharp claws shoot out. They're not nearly as long as you'd wanted them, but they'll tear through things easily enough.
You leap into the air as one of the screeching shapes flies by, and snag its leg. The ugly face tries to take a bite out of you, (3 v. 12) but you give it a taste of the claws on your other hand instead, and it goes falling to earth, black blood spraying from several holes in its face. It collides with another demon on the way, while you land gracefully on the ground.
(10 v. 12) You immediately spin around as another enemy aims to chomp on you, but you can't move fast enough to avoid the attack, and can only block off the onslaught with your arms... which happen to be pretty much invincible. When the creature stops snapping at you, you smack it in the head and hear a crack. It falls limply to the floor.
Your actions this turn disposed of 3 demons!caekdaemon (Anderson) (1 + 2 = 3)
"No one. And I mean no one, interrupts me in the middle of the night while I am-"*Fwap* (12 v. 9) You barely stop one of the feathered fiends from fixing you a new face. It collides with Widdy, who had the sense to move himself to block the attack, and you both go tumbling to the ground. The creep keeps trying to bite you, and the two of you struggle for a little while before you manage to kick it off of yourself.
You did not dispose of any demons this turn.(Also, I did you a little favor and factored in some bonuses you get for wielding Widdy. I couldn't make them too high, because I thought that would just be a little OP, but I made them large enough to make a difference in battle.)
CaveCricket (Raphael) (5 + 1 = 6)
You draw your sword and charge into the midst of the enemies. They're flying all around you, swerving and screeching as they dive, trying to land a blow, (3 v. 5) but you evade them and swing your sword, slicing the tail off of one and sending it down to earth, where it writhes in pain.
Your actions this turn disposed of 1 demon!Tokochiro (Johni) (7)
(Finally, your taekwondo will come in handy, since these enemies don't have weapons.)
You work on the spikes that adorn your boots, and they grow a little larger. Not large enough to do anything useful, but you're nearly there.
You also summon a clone, and he unwillingly complies, appearing next to you.
And right in time, too. A duo of demons charges from the sky (10 v. 4 & 10) and you skillfully push it aside, changing its trajectory so it goes hurtling past you. (3 v. 1) Your clone was less lucky - he's lying on the ground, trying to keep his foe from tearing out his jugular.
You did not dispose of any demons this turn.Phd (John Adams) (2)
You shoot your gun into the midst of the group, but don't manage to hit a single one of them. The shot does cause them to scatter, though, and you fix your sights on a single one and...

The gun doesn't respond. Is it out of ammo or something?
You did not dispose of any demons this turn.NPCsGabriel (8 + 2 = 10)
Gabriel shifts his sword into a long, almost spear-like shape, and begins plucking the birds out of the air with incredibly accurate thrusts. The third Crow Demon gets stuck on his blade, so he whips it around, shifting the weapon again into its original form, and the beast goes flying into another of its kind.
The majority of the enemies avoid him after this, but one courageous demon swoops in low. (5 v. 7) Gabriel throws himself OVER the enemy, spinning his sword in mid-air and putting a gash in its back.
Gabriel gained Counter-Stance!Gabriel's actions this turn have disposed of 5 Crow Demons!Terry (5 + 1 = 6)
Terry manages to swipe a single demon with an oversized fist, but most of them are keeping their distance from his gargantuan golem, and he can't do any more damage.
Terry's actions this turn have disposed of 1 Crow Demon!Locations
