Re: Magitech: Frontiers
Rolling, sorry for the delay, Arcalane.
Isaac | Arcalane (Roll: 6)
"Guess it was only a matter of time... well, no point getting stuck into the mob just yet." Isaac turns around and moves back into the bar, shutting the door tightly behind him. He moves up the aged staircase on one side of the room, going upstairs to his private quarters and storage. Grabbing an empty crate, Isaac starts to gingerly load prime, quality, vintage drinks inside- some of his most valuable possessions, both in sentimental and material value. Opening a small hidden compartment in one of the walls, Isaac nudges the crate snugly inside and locks it shut. "Now to get ready for a fight...". Isaac first slips on his chain-mail vest before belting his Stormgun on- a hefty, powerful handgun connected to its magicrystal power source on Isaac's belt. It crackles a bit as he holds the familiar weapon in his hand for a little before holstering it. ============================================= Appearance In five words: Cid Highwind meets Mal Reynolds! A human in his early 30s, 5'11", short black hair, green eyes. Wears a worn-out jumpsuit under an old blue longcoat, with a light chain vest. Skills - Stormgunner: Mastering the use of the fickle Stormguns takes years, but that training pays off... assuming you don't fry yourself in the process. - Stormgun Caster: Isaac uses most of his 'spells' by charging his Stormgun with extra magical effects, rather than straight-up flinging fireballs or whatever. - Fleet of Foot: He can move surprisingly fast when he needs to, whether that's for dodging or running. Wielded - Stormgun: A large, heavy magitech handgun, linked to a belt-mounted power pack via sturdy cable. Very rare, hard to use, and dangerous to everyone. - Stormgun Battery: A heavy magicrystal 'battery', hooked to the Stormgunner's belt. Passively absorbs background magic to recharge itself, absorbs electrical shocks directed at the wielder as well. Book of Storms - Supershock: A supercharged attack from the Stormgun; does more damage. - Chainblast: A special shot that bounces between multiple targets in a chain fashion. - Stormgun Schematics: Essential for the maintenance and manufacture of Stormguns and their power packs. Inventory (3/10 slots) - Goggles: With flip-down tinted lenses, to protect the eyes from the environment or light of stormgun blasts. - Chain Shirt: Well-padded to reduce the chance of being shocked. Only a fool travels without armour. - Mercenary Tags: A set of old dogtags, usually kept in a coat pocket. A memento of past adventures... Condition/s - Stormgunner: +1 to Stormgun attack rolls, significantly reduces chance of lethal mishaps. - Stormgun Battery: +1 to defense rolls against electrical attacks. - Chain Shirt/Fleet of Foot: +1 to defense rolls.

Don't worry Izen, you won't be dying any time soon.

Re: Magitech: Frontiers
Isaac The feel of a hefty and trusty old weapon at your side. Yeah. Now we're ready. Wait, why'd I leave that crate up here? Best move it down to the cellars before the explosions start, it's not gonna be very safe up here if that happens!
Once that's done, see if they bothered to properly brick up that tunnel in the lower cellar yet. If not, snap on ze goggles and go patrol for anyone trying to sneak into the city through the sewers. If they did, head back outside and reassess the situation.

Quote:
"We will come back to check if there are survivors later Charlotte. For now we best go north." "Survivors? Thats not being very optimistic." It isn't, but you know its pretty true, judging from the tone in which she said it suggests she knows that too. ~~~ Reaching the castle walls relatively quickly, another problem quickly arises, the 3 story high stone walls that surround the castle. They might let you through the gate, but under these circumstances maybe not, hell, you might have been able to climb it if it wasn't for the rain rendering all potential hand holds into slippery death traps. Charlotte skips up the wall, and upon reaching the top gives you a little wave, meanwhile with her absence, the rain barrier quickly falls and you start getting wet.

Re: Magitech: Frontiers
So I have just discovered that it is very difficult to keep up with who has posted their action/roll so far. I've worked out the current people but in an effort to keep it easy I've made myself a Google Docs Spreadsheet, link.
Feel free to check yourself off when you post your action or roll. If you don't, I'll do it myself just for ease-of-mind and to counter my OCD for such things.

Do you mean draw your sword or something? I'm unsure of what you're implying by "sword."

Was just saying that enemies aren't usually in melee range for people on the battlements.

I gotcha. I was only confused because it seemed to be a part of your action. ... And because I'm uber-picky about how people phrase things when it comes to RtD.
