Re: RtD-Classic Adventure |Roll 12| More Pressing Matters
Roll 15 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Game Events A deep rumbling, is emanating from the mountain, this is swiftly followed a large crack and a blinding flash of white light. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Huntsman\Henry= 7 Your eyes burst open at the sound of the mountain, leaping off of John’s shoulder you hit the ground running. Unfortunately this leads you crash into the side of a large rock, hitting your head pretty badly. You fall back into the arms of Misha, who drags you behind the rock, thankfully you are only mildly concussed. "Now now, it’s all right, don't cry." She starts petting your hair
maart3n\Mulch= 9 You can't help but feel pretty badass speeding away on the back of a wolf with an exploding mountain at your back. This almost beats the time great grandfather Jenkins single handedly stormed that cave full of wyverns.
TorrentHKU\John= 16 Jumping behind the rock with Henry and Misha, you narrowly manage to avoid being crushed by a large boulder. Turning around, you see a surprisingly quiet Misha comforting a quite confused Henry.
Nonsequitorian\Ulysses= 15 Jumping behind a tree, you lay down flat and watch the mountain as the following events unfold.
TheKebbit\Iron Mauler= 13 Instead of ducking behind anything, you opt to raise your shield to block the debris, this seems to work and at the same time give you a pretty good view of the mountains ascension.
Nighthawk\Mir Swiftclaw= 2 Sprinting at full speed, you turn your head at the sound of the mountain, with the shock of what you see, you manage to run straight into a tree.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Game Events The ground shakes, birds flee from their nests, and the mountain rises. The gravitational power of the levistone tears the mountain out of the ground and sends it into the ether. Everyone sits and watches as it floats higher, and higher, eventually becoming nought but a twinkle in the dusky sky.
Misha stares as the hole the mountain left fills up with water from a nearby river and sighs. "Oh well, it was good while it lasted" However, she turns with a particularly broad smile plastered on her face. "Looks like I'm sticking with you guys!" She raises her arm to shield her eyes from the sunset and takes a brief look around. "Well, I say we have two options, we could either set up camp here, or try our luck and head for the next town, we could probably get there by midnight, but there’s no guarantee they'd let us in the gates that late at night."
"We just fought a Hydra and blew up a mountain. I think we should rest here for the night." > Go over to Misha, sit down. "So why were you there at the arena, just in time to rescue us?"
Sit down, call my wolf, and split a packed lunch with him. Name him Becquerel.
I'm sure anyone here who's ever picked up a controller knows that video games are SERIOUS BUSINESS. Although Torrent once said that Rolls are also SERIOUS BUSINESS. I dunno. Do two occurrences of S.B. cancel each other out?
Re: RtD-Classic Adventure |Roll 15| Act 2, Trails and Shadows
Roll 16~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Game Events As night falls, the adventurers set up camp next to the newly formed lake. The woods here are known to be quite peaceful, so you should have no trouble during the night. GM: Hey look, you each got a color assigned to you, this should make my new double actions things a lot easier to read. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Huntsman\Henry= 20] & [TorrentHKU\John= 8]Henry awakens from his peaceful sleep, not remembering where he drifted off he opens his eyes. As everything comes into focus, he sees a set of pink drills and large gold eyes illuminated only by the moonlight, it appears that she had not moved from the time he fell asleep on her lap. Several minutes pass before he breaks the silence. "Thank you.." She smiles, but before she can say anything, she is silenced by the sudden appearance of John Wandering up, he somehow remains oblivious is perfectly aware of intimate moment he just destroyed, but does ask a valid question. "So why were you there at the arena, just in time to rescue us?""I was there the whole time.""What do you mean the whole time? Did you fail to notice us getting attacked by the wolves, or that giant hydra?""Not exactly" She looks a little concerned "Don't you recognize my voice?""No?" John begins to look a bit concerned himself. "Well, um, do you recognise..." Clearing her throat, she prepares to blow Johns mind. Quote: WHAHAHAhaha~! How amusing Heads or Tails? WHAHAHAHAhahah~!! BWHAHAHAHAhahah~!!! Oh god. maart3n\Mulch= 13You set up your tent along with the others, and then empty your paradox sack on the ground - Quality Rope Ladder: It seems to be enchanted, but you have no idea how. It would be unwise to sell it before finding out what it does. -10kg of redstone: This stuff looks like what Mir was describing for what he used for his levistone, you make a mental note to show him this later. -4 gold: Hey, another gold must have been in the metaphorical 'bottom' of the sack, this day just keeps on getting better and better. -Founding Fathers Ale (collectable flask)(memorabilia): You take a fond look at the bottle before placing alongside the rest of your loot. All in all, you did pretty good considering, maybe next time you'll get to have a proper look for items before blowing the place sky high. You inwardly grown at the terrible pun you made to yourself. Nonsequitorian\Ulysses= 15Your area of the camp is the mightiest of them all, with a separate fireplace, 3 roomed tent, several pieces of magical fold up furniture and other luxuries. You can't help but put on a smug look, sit out the front on your rocking chair and smoke your pipe. TheKebbit\Iron Mauler= 9Sitting down next to the fire place you make a short whistle and your wolf runs to your side. Splitting your packed lunch, you look at him while he eats. "Dog."No response. "Dog!"None that time either. A word of unknown origin pops into your head. "Becquerel!"Becquerel jumps to attention. Staring at his neon green irises, you smile, looks like you found him a name. Nighthawk\Mir Swiftclaw= 11Opting not to set up a tent like the others, you curl up next to the fire. You manage to look adorable, and if Misha was not engaged in conversation with John and Henry, she would certainly be smothering you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Game Events.Time: Midnight.Also, Huntsman got 20-exp
Just gotta say in my defense, I was perfectly aware of both the intimate moment and that I was ruining it. Also gotta say that Misha was my 2nd favorite character in all of Katawa Shoujo. And since Emi isn't an option here... "Wait. WAIT. Wait. So. You sicced the Hydra on us. I'm going to use the generosity of my heart and assume that was some sort of test for some sort of master plan."
Overhearing the conversation nearby: "So, lady, mind telling us who you really are?"
