Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
Ive just noticed something that's happened in every RtD on this forum, even in mine aswell.
Everyone has Haemophilia, as there blood does not appear to clot and thus stop the bleeding.
Oh well, I actually spent time thinking of ways I could horribly kill my players.
Roll for frostbite Roll for infection Roll for collapsing ceiling Roll for booby trapped door Roll for horrific abomination Roll for crushed by falling player Roll for premature detonation Roll for spontaneous combustion Roll for friendly fire

Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
Sorry I'm getting a little late with posting. Torrent still has not posted (again), so I'll wait a bit longer, then I'll continue to hopefully post a round every day. I apologize for the delay between rounds.

Whoops, sorry, forgot all about this. Must've rolled when I couldn't respond. > Try to push the wolf off me. Yeah, if someone (me) forgets to post their action, don't just wait until it's been too long and roll without them, post saying that you're waiting for them.

Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
All right. From now on, unless I a have a very serious reason not to post, I will try to get a round up every single day. I must be committed.
So here we go! The wolves are attacking! (Who let the dogs out - who, who, who, who? (Ehhh, maybe not. (Then again, I should start making things funnier. (Wow, that's a lot of parentheses.))))
ALSO - In consideration of Caekdaemon's comment about how blood always fails to clot, I will now have your wounds clot after one or two turns if they are not extremely serious. By extremely serious, I mean getting your arm taken off. That won't clot very well, now will it?
Nonsequitorian (2)
You try to get between the werewolf and the moon, but you don't dare get that close. It jumps forward and slashes with its claws (6 v. 3). You take a hit to the chest, and backpedal a few steps. Good thing it wasn't any worse. As it is, the scratch only scraped the surface.
Inv. [7] -Powder Horn and Ball Bag (48/50) [3] Eq. -Dan's Black Powder Rifle (1/1) [4] P-Abilities -Ranged Mechanical Weapons Knowledge (+1 to repair if roll is 2 or lower) (+1 to use of Dan's Rifle) (-2 to bow and arrow) A-Abilities -None Injuries -Upper Body - Clawed (Slightly bleeding)
Ociamarru (1)
You feel like you're getting used to this. Slice, slice, slice. It ain't a problem. You begin to let your guard down, though, and your next attack is especially halfhearted. You slowly swing your blade through the air (1 v. 4) and miss horribly. The wolf you were taking a shot at turns and bites you in the thigh. Pain rushes down your entire leg, and you very nearly collapse to the ground. It's all you can do to stay on your feet as the growling wolf backs up, its teeth bloody.
Inv. [9] -Hammer [3] Eq. -Gauntlets [2] -Nikolai's Longsword [4] P-Abilities -Expert Craftmanship (+1 to metalwork) A-Abilities -None Injuries -Left Thigh - Wolf bite (Bleeding)
HEN (4)
Stabbing! Coming soon to a wolf near you! (4 v. 2) The unusual stabbing strike with your sickle makes it home, burrowing itself in the wolf's side. It screeches in pain from the wound. That one probably won't live long. Another wolf attacks from the side, (1 v. 1) and both you and your attacker stumble. You barely dodge the wolf's failed attack. A wolf, tripping? You feel more akin to these creatures now, even though you have to kill them. (Bonus roll for thought = 6) Or perhaps you don't... It is a bit strange that such a small pack of wolves would attack a large group of humans. The werewolf seems to be their leader. They could be controlled in some fashion.
I think I may have weighed you down A bit too much with the sickle you use. By sickle, do you mean miniature scythe, Or full sized, as the Grim Reaper would choose?
Inv. [7] -Compound Crossbow (2/6) [3] Eq. -Sickle [4] P-Abilities -In the Shadows (+1 to stealth action rolls) A-Abilities -None Injuries -None
Tokochiro (5)
You wrote, I quote, "Break the cane in two" But also typed a second action, did you. (That sounded like Yoda) You cannot do two things in one go. Else, eh, let's just say the world explodes.
You hold your cane in both hands and bring it down upon your knee as hard as you can. It splits neatly, as if meant to do that. You hold it up and notice that there is a link of chains connecting the head and bottom of the cane together.
A nunchuck? How did you not know this about your own cane?
Inv. [8] -Bomb [2] -Bandages (3) [3] Eq. -Nunchuck Cane [3] P-Abilities -Helping Hand (+1 to assisting friends) A-Abilities -None Injuries -None
Adam (4)
You take your dagger to the wolf (4 v. 6) but it just scampers out the way, and your blade gets nothing but a few hairs. It seems angry, and leaps at your head (1 v. 3) Its jump isn't even close to being on target, and you punch it out of the air. The wolf hits the ground with a whimper, then stands back up, a little shakily.
Inv. [6] -None Eq. -Knife w/ Knuckled Handguard [2] -Chainmail [4] P-Ablities -Fist Fighter (+1 hand to hand combat) A-Abilities -None Injuries -None
TorrentHKU (4)
You shove the wolf off of your body and stand up. Another wolf comes by and glares at you through what appear to be very hazy-looking eyes. Strange.
Inv. [4] -Hip Flask [2] Eq. -Dagger [2] P-Abilities -Sleight of Hand (+1 to dexterity) A-Abilities -None Injuries -Head - Clawed left side (Clotting)
Man, I just love wolves. Besides their tendencies to try and rip your throat out. One of you should go all Chuck Norris on them and punch them to death. (Adam is kinda doing that with his counterattack)
Yeah... just my private thoughts made un-private. Have a nice day!
Oh, wait. I still have to tell you guys that there are only three wolves left alive. You Six dispatched some of them, and the guards got rid of a few, too.
That is all.

I'd play Minecraft, but my brother used that shader mod thing and now we're stuck in a terrible terrible trip. And he doesn't know how to fix it.
