THE END!

... don't tempt me.

Torrent (Gillian) (12)

You race towards Foraqe whilst putting away your daggers and pulling out your large dwarven mace. Once you're close enough, you bring back your arm, stop your mad sprint, and throw the mace with all your strength. It flies forth from your fingers, straight and true, a trail of blue energy blazing along behind it. The weapon strikes the giant nautilus in the left side of its head, breaking the surface tissue and traveling deep into the skin.
Unfortunately, your powers backlash quite violently from this effort, striking the hand with which you threw the mace. Your arm flies back behind your head, nearly reaching the limit of your flexibility, and your fingers bend back painfully. A muted groan escapes you as you hold your now useless hand.

Ociamarru (Nikolai) (7 + 3 + 1 = 11) (Your hammer isn't heavy enough to require strength, so you don't use your other +1.)

You leap once more on top of Forqe, this time further down its head. You can't distinguish a neck on this thing, but if it had one, it would be right there.

You begin bashing with your hammer, since Johni failed to transform your plant.
However, your attacks seem to be being absorbed by the skin of the creature. Each time you strike, the weapon sinks into its flesh as if it were a pillow, and the force of the blow is taken away. The nautilus doesn't even seem to acknowledge that you're attacking it.

caekdaemon (Anderson) (-)

You throw the sticks in the fire and leave the forge, whistling a tune to yourself.
You see a gigantic creature threatening the shore a good distance away, but you pay it no mind, and instead walk into the weapons shop. You select the only axe in the shop, and a nice-looking butcher knife that might as well be called a scimitar.

You begin to sag under the weight of so many items.

CaveCricket (Raphael) (12)

After jogging closer to Foraqe, you hold the poison spike against your left arm and close your eyes, attempting to transform it so that it attaches to the skin.
Your arm begins to burn, and you realize something has gone horribly wrong. You open your eyes to look but the pain becomes so intense that you force them shut again and fall to the ground, writhing.

... it subsides.

You sit up and look at your left arm, realizing with sudden shock that your hand is gone. Your fingers are gone. Your entire arm is now one long green spike. It's about the same length and weight as your arm was before.
You take a deep breath, and attempt to look on the bright side. At least the poison isn't in your bloodstream. That's good, isn't it?

Tokochiro (Johni) (10 for plant control, 3 for attacking)

You reach out a hand towards Nikolai's strange plant, and attempt to transform it into a hammer.
You feel your powers doing their work, but the plant resists their effects completely. It doesn't seem to... want to transform. How you can tell, you have no idea.

You mumble, "Stupid plant," as a giant tentacle hits you from behind (10 v. 1) and takes your legs out from under you with savage force.
You fall backwards onto the ground, clutching your legs, which are heavily bruised.

Adam (Adam) (10)

You rush forward and summon your Pyrokinesis, creating a giant blast of flame that blackens the right half of the creature's head.
A blackened, angry tentacle comes flying at you, (2 v. 2) but you're lucky and it misses.

NPCs

Gabriel

Gabriel takes a swing at another tentacle (9 v. 0) slicing it clean off.

Terry

Terry continues merrily hammering away at the shell. The crack grows larger.

Locations
-caekdaemon is BIDING HIS TIME in the weapons shop.
-Torrent and Cavecricket are at a distance from Foraqe.
-Ociamarru, Tokochiro, Adam, and Gabriel are near Foraqe.
-Terry is on top of Foraqe.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

EVENTS
Foraqe shudders, as if cold, and several dozens of barnacle/crab creatures fall off of its shell and begin scurrying towards shore.
They snap their large pincers in the air menacingly.

What herculean speed and strength?

I believe that when you transformed, I gave you your armor-like carapace, but you did not get the RIDICULOUS size-strength ratio of the hercules beetle.
I mean, come on - that would just be unfair. Someone like Ociamarru uses a bunch of turns to develop his strength and you get all that and more just because you can change your bodily structure?

Okay - let's forget sense.

What did you roll?

*Looks at Roll Logs...

Hrm.
You rolled a 7. That's ALMOST a Success when using a 12-sided die.
Well, you DID try really hard, looking up videos and researching and all that just to convince me that those beetles are ridiculously strong...

...

Okay, FINE - you get super strength. But no, speed, okay?
Changes will take effect in the next roll.

Back to the head with me - start attacking the most-heavily-damaged half, be it the one devastated by fire or blunt impact. This time. try using the indestructible plant to dig into and tear the flesh, and chaotically accelerate the wounds with my superpowers.

Barkeep! Another roll, please~!

Torrent (Gillian) (3 - 2 = 1)

"Ow, ow ow. Okay, ow, I don't think it's BROKEN, which means..."
You hold your good hand up to your bad hand and activate Healing Touch. Blue light flows over the hand... and does absolutely nothing, besides making the rest of your fingers go limp.

One of the strange, crablike creatures scurries towards you, pincers snapping open and closed.
You curse quietly to yourself.

Ociamarru (Nikolai) (9 + 3 = 12)

You roar and throw yourself upon the burned half of the creature's head, pull out the indestructible plant, and, grasping it by the strange gem-root, hack at the creature's skin. The leaves of the plant don't seem especially made for cutting, but you make up for that with your savage ferocity.

After dealing several wounds to the Nautilus' head, you accelerate time around them, hoping to cause even more damage.
You powers urge time much too far, however, and the wounds begin to rapidly heal. You stop your attempt as quickly as you possibly can.

The world becomes horribly dull again, and you fall into your normal state. The loss of your strangely heightened senses makes you feel almost drunk.

An angry tendril flies in your direction. (8 v. 7) It catches you across the arm as you attempt to sidestep it, throwing you off balance a bit, but otherwise inflicting no damage.

caekdaemon (Anderson) (9 + 2 = 11) Just realized that being encumbered, realistically, should not affect your ability to do things outside of combat. Ugh - loopholes.

You saunter merrily on back to the forge, whistling an upbeat tune to yourself.
After disposing of the handle of the battle axe and some of the scimitar's handle, you begin heating the metal from both weapons together, using your Mental Forge ability to urge them into a single alloy.
You deem them ready after a while, and throw them onto the anvil, beating away until the metal finally forms the shape you want.
When you're finished, a single-piece helmet, about the same color as your leggings, if a bit darker, sits on the anvil. You test it to your head, and it fits comfortably.
The helm covers the top of your head, the back, and both sides. The front has a single protrusion downward to cover the middle of your face, which is joined at the bottom by two cross-sections for support and making sure a single blow to your face doesn't smash the guard into your nose.
It limits your view a little bit, but it's well worth it for the protection it'll provide.

You have two bars of the alloy left, since the helm didn't use all that much.

Suddenly, you hear a scrabbling sound, and turn around to see an odd crablike creature in the doorway.
It doesn't look friendly.

CaveCricket (Raphael) (2)

You run to the crab creatures as fast as your legs can take you, and take a swing at them with your longsword. (2 v. 9) The creature retreats into its shell, and the weapon embeds itself in the side of its natural armor.

Two more of the creatures approach you from either side.

You attempt to pull the sword out of the creature, but it instead of coming loose, you lift the entire load - sword and foe, with a single arm.
A laugh escapes you as you realize how strong you are.

Tokochiro (Johni) (10 - 4 = 6)

"Can someone help me!?"
You attempt to crawl away from the fight, but you're not getting very far very fast. One of the crab creatures reaches you, and you roll over to face it.
A single pincer shoots towards you. (7 v. 10, 2) (Just reminding you, this attack is an unarmed attack, so you get two dodge rolls due to Taekwondo.)

You easily strike away the claw by hammering it with the side of your left hand. The crab is knocked off-balance.
Taking advantage of this, you shakily stand on your throbbing legs.

Adam (Adam) (5)

You heat up your entire whip with Pyrokinesis and lash out at the nearest crab. (5 v. 6) The attack glances off of the creature's shell, leaving a black scorch mark where the red-hot whip hit it.

The crab continues forward, unfazed, and lashes out at you with a pincer, (8 v. 10) which you dodge by stepping backwards.

NPCs

Gabriel

A barnacle-crab takes interest in Gabriel and tries to claw him, (4 v. 9) but Gabriel parries the attack, and slices off its arm. The crab hisses angrily and begins to back off. Gabriel tries to press the advantage with another swing, (3 v. 10) but the crab plays defensively and retreats into its shell.
Gabriel backsteps and shouts out,
"Aim for the joints! They're thin enough to cut through!"

Terry

A crab seems to have come awake on top of Foraqe to keep Terry company. (11 v. 8) Terry lashes out with a fist, and the thing hides within its outer carapace, but Terry's punch still sends it flying off the side of Foraqe.

"Can't they see I'm BUSY?" he says, then returns to smashing the Nautilus' shell.

Locations
-caekdaemon is in the forge.
-Torrent and is at a distance from Foraqe.
-Ociamarru, Tokochiro, Adam, CaveCricket, and Gabriel are near Foraqe.
-Terry is on top of Foraqe.
