Many memories were had, and reminisced.

The moon has risen, and the forest becomes dangerous.
In the distance, whirs are heard, and tracks appear suddenly, where there once weren't.

I pack up my ice box full of prepared fish, and return to camp.

I nod silently. With the passing of a particularly strong gust of wind, I disappear: simply vanishing, seemingly into thin air. All that is left behind is my dark green cloak, which falls to the ground after a short flight along the breeze.

You look up. Something catches your attention. The moon is red.
In an instant, everything is fine. The next, it is not.
You've heard of this happening before. You don't remember how, but it is a familiar phenomenon.
The moon is in thousands of pieces; clean cut, leaving no signs of damage (dust, debris), as if the moon was always in thousands of pieces merely glued together, and now the glue has come unstuck.
This is it.
This is a Moonshatter.

I'm particularly grated by this development. It seems they've finally been able to do a Moonshatter... this doesn't bode well [especially with the transition of motifs], for those stranded without light.


The zomborgs, seemingly capable of amassing such a force seem to forget that there are strong survivors.
They stary to appear, shambling from multiple miscellaneous covers, and shadows, attracted by the light, and charged air.
It seems their necrotic hordes have been busy constructing many siege titans, and lumbering hulks as we have been trying to avoid their larger congregations.

Tricky thing, since their constant Stress is anything but shakable, or depletable, and injuries with casualties are starting to weigh in like Atlas' Burden.

A green cloth flies your way, upright, as if donned by a specter. You recognize it as my cloak.
In a particular moment where the entire cloak would obscure my body (if it were there), I appear. (Suddenly, it is there.)
Uncharacteristically, I speak.
"Their Constant Conquest will come to an end."

With a rustling of bushes, a single zomborg drone appears, and I disappear, as customary. The cloak stays behind.
Moments later, I reappear behind the zomborg. The cloak that was just then on the ground is not. It is on me.
I draw a sword and expertly cut the head of the 'borg off, and then in two.

A large noise emanates from the zomborg in its final moments, and soon, more arrive, and I depart.

Cant you just make topic "Survive the zomborg atack"

Now what was I going on about? Oh yeah, slamming jams, and cramming hams.

The battlefield will become a mess of reviving machines, and green cloth at this rate. With fire in the night sky, and a forest full of deathly stars, it's going to be a long day.
The trees a bit off start to collapse as the marching procession of drones are met with the titans, and in time, the walls, from which no one escapes.

From my person, the earth seems to quake, and vivify, growing maws and talons of its own consuming drones, and clawing at the beasts to come.

The Monoliths in the forest don't take kindly to you and your shenanigans.

Dozens of flak cannons fire, and proximity detonation missiles fly at you.
Helicopters are not known for standing up against AA, or evasion, for the same reasons.
Flares and other distractions are a moot point against optical sensors, and advanced ultrasound.

Losing theses choppers wasnt a big loss.

It's more of an issue of who is inside the forest, and outside of the reach of the Monoliths.

An army to an army. Titans to squadrons; Monoliths to whole divisions.
It's nothing special, but you do feed the terrors with a quantifiable amount of mass.
