I'm not going to penalize you guys or anything - I just find it funny that one of you forgets to Bold your text and the other forgets to Underline.

I intentionally left it un-bold, as it was a minor action that, if memory serves, can be done before the actual action is posted. I'm basically just asking for what the area around me is like before I actually post my action.

Aha. Now I realize what you were after.

I'm just not used to it working like that. I'll be glad to answer your question, just be more direct about it next time. :)

INFO - Ociamarru - your character is currently taking cover behind a small building, large enough to shelter about 3 people comfortably inside. It is made primarily of wood. There are a few buildings surrounding you, nearly all of them about the same size and structure, and the buildings themselves are spaced a good 20 feet apart, each. A few of them have been reduced to rubble due to the Nautilus' previous visit to the shore.

The inner city is has larger, more densely packed buildings. These are only huts in comparison to the full-size houses near the main building.

UPDATE - Hopefully, the next time you guys come to a big city, I'll have a map of it prepared. However, I cannot guarantee this 100%, schoolwork considered. I was hard-pressed to find free time today.

But hopefully. I know how much maps help when you don't have any idea of what the place looks like. The only reason I do is because I use my imaaaaagination to come up with it, and the image of the place sticks pretty well.

Really, the only reason Sol is called a city is because of its large size and its tendency to attract tourists. As a place, it FEELS more like a town. The houses, which are usually small, especially those on the outskirts, don't always have floors, and are made of wood. The people live pretty humbly off of fishing and trading. No fancy mansions or huge constructions like you would find in Colber, besides the city center.

I just realized I have to be careful what I pick to be my next passive, as the rules say only 3 passives each.

Thank you for reminding me - Those rules must be changed.
3 passives sucks, and it won't even let you guys grow. I probably made those rules when I was in some sort of stupor.

Allow me to change them - you may now have 8 passive abilities.

EDIT - Just realized Toko has 5 passive abilities. I don't know my own rules. See, this just accentuates the fact that you guys should definitely tell me when you think a rule needs to be changed. If it's fair, I will GLADLY change it. Like that stupid equipping items rule I had at the beginning of the game. That was stupid. I realized that it was stupid and removed it.

Frankly, the more you guys reprimand me for screwing up on your Statuses or with the game's rules, the better I'll become at this stuff. So by all means, criticize the hell out of this game.

Also, I need to start writing more kickass poetry again.

Alrighty then, action.

Dash toward the beast, leaping onto the head. Strike for the eyes, clawing/Repulsing as necessary.
ABILITIES: Acrobatics, Feral Burst

Oh, damn. I'm gonna have to find time to get this roll done, if you're gonna make it that exciting.

*EXCITING MUSIC*

I wonder what happens if I get a 12; with all my modifiers I'd get a 17!

If I created a system that allowed you to surpass the limit, the result would most likely be a large explosion. Of feral-ness. With confetti. And death. Feral Deathfetti.

Yeah, it would be pretty insane.

UPDATE - Another round is coming tomorrow. Thank goodness for the existence of Fridays.

'Dat roll.

Also, for you guys' information, this beastie has absolutely no dodging ability while on land. NONE. It cannot avoid your attacks (as long as your attack doesn't fail to begin with).

Torrent (Gillian) (3 + 2 = 5)

You imbue your daggers with a combination of your Force and Animation abilities, hoping to get them spinning in your hands like miniature drills. However, nothing of interest occurs, besides one of them suddenly bouncing out of your palm. You catch it before it hits the ground. That could have gone worse, you suppose.

Ociamarru (Nikolai) (4 + 1 + 1 + 3 = 9) (Oh my lord that's a lot of modifiers.)

You take a deep breath before the plunge, then call upon all of your powers.
A scream rips from your lungs as beast instincts take a hold of your mind, and before you know it, you're charging Foraqe head on, fear completely absent from your thoughts.
You reach it in only a few seconds after a full-on sprint, and you don't seem the slightest bit tired. With another roar, you launch yourself straight at the beast's head.

You don't even feel the impact as your open palm collides straight with the enemy's head, ripping apart skin from the force of the blow. Your momentum slows from the Talisman's burst, and you land on the head of the Nautilus. Without further ado, you begin smashing away with everything you have. Bursts of the Talisman and slashes of your claws become unintelligible as you rip into your foe with ferocity. Only when a large tentacle lashes out at you must you cease your aggressions. (10 vs. 8) The attack grazes by your left side as you attempt to avoid it, knocking you off balance. You swiftly kick off of the Nautilus and land safely on the ground. The beast now faces you, emitting a low, vicious sounding groan. If it had eyes, it would surely be staring directly at you.

caekdaemon (Anderson) (9 + 1 = 10)

"A masterpiece."
A smile bursts onto your face and you get to work on your old chestplate with renewed vigor. Before long, the metal is once again melted before you, and with a flurry of quick and precise strokes, you begin to work it into the desired shape.

Within a short time, you have a set of leggings. After cooling them down, you don them, eager to see how they fit. They bend easily with your legs, flexible and strong. You grin, very pleased with the results.
After two successes with forging in a row, you feel much more confident in your abilites!

Metal Worker has been enhanced to Metal Smith, which now gives a +2 to metalwork.

CaveCricket (Raphael) (8)

You try again to lengthen the blade of grass, and this time, it complies. You quickly draw forth the image from your imagination - a long spine filled with poison, exactly 2 feet in length.
It works! You are now holding a long, grass-green spike. You cannot tell if there is poison within it, but you're quite sure there is - it's quite a bit heavier than before.

Tokochiro (Johni) (7)

You think about helping Raphael with his transforming... thing, but you have absolutely no idea how you could. What are you going to do to assist in him using an unstable Glyph power?
So instead, you send a clone after Terry, hoping that it might help. The clone fares decently, (3 v. 8) smoothly avoiding an attack as it approaches the enemy. The clone picks up a nearby piece of wood from a destroyed building and stabs at one of the creature's flailing tentacles. Not bad.

Adam (Adam)

You stare blankly as everyone else fights off the new menace.

NPCs

Gabriel

Gabriel sighs.
"And I'm usually the one to charge recklessly into battle..."

Gabriel then proceeds to charge recklessly into battle. He swings his sword about his head, and its blade becomes wide and very thin. He attacks (4 vs. 0), but the tentacle he was swinging at is flailing too wildly, and he only grazes it.

Terry

"BRING IT."

Terry leaps higher than a golem should, and lands with a thump on top of the Nautilus' shell. He proceeds to punch it repeatedly, wood colliding with shell. (6 v. 0)
*Chonk Chonk Chonk Chonk Chonk Chonk*
Finally, a small crack appears in its shell.
"Alright, making progress," he says with a grin.

Not really important, but I just want to mention that you're already outside. Pretty much everyone ran out there as soon as the sound was heard.
Thus your location says, "in front of the central building."
