So what abilities does one gain from holding this again?

Jundi: "You can go with the evacuation party and help keep guard. We have things handled here.

She turns away from you and addresses another group of people/chirop.

Jundi: "Those who are evacuating, we're leaving soon, so get your things together and get ready to move!"

Conditions :
- Burned Face
- Missing Eyebrows

Plucking a crossbow bolt out of your inventory, you charge up a load of kinetic force and fire the bolt towards the corrupted. You're pretty sure your EISENMETEOR hit your mark, but the thing doesn't even flinch as it bounds towards you and the gate.

Mist starts to head off to the left and then forward.

Aucupe: "I'm going with him."

Aucupe with Lucida trail behind Mist, and the hulking corrupted finally gets within vision range. The beast is 12 feet tall and being incredibly broad, could be 12 feet wide as well. The entire surface of the monster is covered in armored plates.

The head is what catches your attention the most though, as a four-jawed mouth opens like a flower and emits a bright yellow light from the throat.

???: "LIGHT 'EM UP!"

The air around the beast turns hazy as lightning strikes, fireballs, and kinetic blasts ravage the creature for a a full two seconds before leaving a smoldering mass of burning flesh.

???: "There are two more hanging back!"

Conditions :
- Whirlwind Armor (+2 Physical Actions)

Black Dragon: The green dragon's spiral breath and kinetic strikes. I believe it may have other abilities, but those are the two that I have found so far.

Jundi: "Those who are evacuating, we're leaving soon, so get your things together and get ready to move!"

> You head off to the left side and move forward with Aucupe trailing behind you.

From the side, you can see that the hulking beast is about 3 and a half meters tall and wide. As it approachs John, the head splits open like a flower and a bright yellow light glows from the beast's throat.

???: "LIGHT 'EM UP!"

The air around the beast turns hazy as lightning strikes, fireballs, and kinetic blasts ravage the creature for a a full two seconds before leaving a smoldering mass of burning flesh.

???: "There are two more hanging back!"

Peering into the darkness, you can make out one shape further back, and one much further back. The furthest one is too far to make out any sort of detail, but the closest one is the size of a man with large spike-like limbs protruding from its back.

Conditions :
- Dizzy (-2 actions, Ends in 3 turns)
- Decayed Right Hand/Lower arm (Ends in 3 turns)

"Thank you, Magister. I will try not to test my luck."

Looking around, you find one wall that is lined with a sizable amount of equipment. There's enough chirop armor for a few complete sets, so you suit up, and grab a nice violet and black robe as well.

Weapon wise, there are daggers, shortswords, and greatswords. Picking up a greatsword, it's larger than the Longsword you have and has a familiar weight to it, so you decide to keep it.

Koa approaches you, healed up (but still missing her right arm) and wearing a fresh helmet, cuirass, and a black and white robe. Along with her Ettiin is armored and armed just like you except without a robe. She still has her beefy wing-bone claws in place of wings.

The third and last one though, is a human in black clothing with greaves, gauntlets, a helmet, and a shortsword on his side.

Koa: "The four of us make up the task force. You already know Ettiin, and this is Demler, Garett."

Garett: "Howdy. You can just call me Garett."

Koa: "We're ready to go once you're done here."

If traveling ensues and no conversation arises, meditate on my past again, trying to uncover more information and/or abilities I may have forgotten.

Hm. You hold on to it for now. Kinetic strikes will probably scale better for your size than they would for me. >Go with evac party.

You follow the party down the stairs, through the open door, and to a large metal disk about 3 feet in diameter in the ground. Two of the guards lift the gate up, two more jump into the dark abyss that is unveiled and then give the OK.

You and the other people being evacuated find the metal rungs on the side of the vertial tunnel and descend one-by-one. Once the entire party is in the ground, the manhole cover slides to close the entrance - probably through the use of magic - and Jundi takes the lead, torch in her left hand, rapier in the right.

Jundi: "The guards ahead aren't responding. Stay sharp."

The party moves ahead, carefully.

They don't.

But a mental shout reaches you.

???: OUT OF RANGE! UP TO YOU NOW!

Mist fires a few fireballs at the closest creature, and you see the thing seems to blink out of existence right before getting struck, instantly reappearing right in front of Mist.

In a flash of light, the beast flies in two different direction as it's cut at the waist, Aucupe in Lucida armor standing where it just was, Lucida held outward pointing to her side.

The dragon gives you a mental shrug and grabs the stone with its jaws and swallows the rock.

You, Cihas, the dragon, and the new guy with the child chirop are the only people (is that the right word?) in the evac party that you know (kinda). There are 5 chirop and 2 humans in the evac as well, along with 4 chirop guards, one of them being Jundi.

The beast flickers away as your fireballs crash into the ground where it currently was standing, the beast reappearing right in front of you.

In a flash of light, the creature separates at a perfect line at the waist, upper half flying into the air, lower portion launched forward, Aucupe in Lucida's armor standing in its place. Lucida is held perfectly horizantal, stretched outward to her side.

Turning to Koa -

"I think I'm as ready as I'll ever be. Let's be off."

You follow as she leads the way down the stairs, past the guard taking Ettiin's place, and out the doors. There's a pair of green-robed chirop mages at the North-East part of the wall, standing at the base of what you assume is a freshly-summoned earthen staircase.

Your quartett makes it over the wall without any issues and continues the North-East direction, clearing the plaza and entering the forest of towers once again. Compared to your earlier experiences, this seems like a cake walk, with no corrupted coming out of the shadows or crawling from the alleys to maul you. The most you're getting at the moment is stares from glimmering eyes from the occasional opened window.

Ettiin: "No welcoming party?"

Koa: "Most of the hostile corrupted in this area have been either taken care of by patrols or the assailant, I've been told. Stay alert though.

Speaking of our target, I have an idea of what it may be. I'm sure you all are familiar with the Disaster weapons?"

Ettiin nods her head and Garett gives her a "Yeah."

Koa: "Before this corruption event occured, I heard some rumors that one of them was in storage in the museum."

Garett: "Lemme guess, that ice one?"

Koa: "I don't know for sure, but that's my guess. It didn't click until we started leaving, and I was remembering that the Magister had said that our target has a thing for water manipulation."

If I can't pull out any memories from my own head, ask: "I feel a bit awkward asking, but as you're well aware by now, I know very little... are you saying we'll be fighting a weapon?"

You remain silet, trying to search through your small collection of memories for anything about the Disaster weapons.

You... Don't have anything.

"I feel a bit awkward asking, but as you're well aware by now, I know very little... are you saying we'll be fighting a weapon?"

Ettiin: "Maybe."

Koa: "All of the Disaster weapons have been known to be able to create an avatar that is able to wield the weapon. What isn't known is if the weapon directly controls the avatar, or if the avatar is simply a byproduct. We don't even know if the weapons are capable of thinking on their own or not. Some say yes, some say no."

Garett: "If we're lucky, we're just fighting some corrupted curator that has the weapon. I heard that the Chaos weapon Lucida created its avatar and obliterated the Caelum base east of Vranhal before laying waste to the Vigilant Guardian."

Ettiin: "Wha..? Where's Lucida now?"

Garett gives a shrug.

Garett: "Lord Elizabeth was the last to see it, hell, she had a clash with the thing. She wasn't looking too great when she got back to Vranhal, not even able to walk on her own two feet."
