Long ago, before the corruption incident, two other forms of magic used to exist - vocal and runic. These allowed you to either speak and cast magic, or write to cast magic, making it accessible to the layman. However, there were those who wished to control others, and the spiritual organization founded by the lupus, the Ruhe, set out to destroy vocal and runic magic, and somehow succeeded. Those forms of magic no longer had any effect, and the commoner was powerless to the power-hungry who had planned before hand, training large numbers of pathic mages to serve them. The Age of Lords had begun, where societies were no longer free and people were unable to support themselves as they wished. The lords dictated what the people could and could not do, formed states to war against other lords for the sake of power. Only recently the Age of Lords had ended, Fremit D’Leo of the Third of Caelum taking matters into his own hands to destroy the dictators during the War of Blades and the Caelum-Daeli war.
Alas, the fruits of his labor will eventually spoil. With the existence of pathic magic, only a few elite are capable of using magic, giving them power over others, and naturally they will bring us back to the Age of Lords. That is where our organization comes in.
Several years ago, the founders of our group discovered that a new form of runic magic exists, using a different set of runes from the old system. It allows anyone with the knowledge of the runes to use magic, no matter if they are incapable of using pathic magic. Our organization’s goal is to target those who intend to exert control over others and eliminate them. This includes the Ruhe, specifically members who are connected to the extinction of vocal and runic magic. Once they are no longer a threat, we can spread the knowledge of this new runic magic around the world, giving the gift of magic to everyone. She lifts her mug an inch above the table, looking at it for a second before putting it back down, the porcelain sounding empty when it taps the coaster.
Elizabeth: ”I’ll think of something.”
Vandolf: "By the way, could I borrow some paper, and something to write with, to take with me into the room? We may need to draw up some, well, schematics."
Elizabeth: ”There should be ink pens and paper in the isolated room.”
Vandolf nods his head and leaves, and you follow behind after a short bow of your head.
It’s easy to find the room, being at the end of the hall and having the only metal door, all the other ones being stained hardwood. The two of you enter the room and close the door.
The inside looks fairly normal - wood paneled walls and light polished stone tiles. The room has a large table in the center with chairs pushed in, a stack of blank papers along with ink pens and inkwells on top.
You use your mana reserves and empty a 10-capacity stone to finish up your greave and start on another, giving the empty stone to Vandolf. ____________________

You give a polite nod leave, John following behind after a short bow of his head..
It’s easy to find the room, being at the end of the hall and having the only metal door, all the other ones being stained hardwood. The two of you enter the room and close the door.
The inside looks fairly normal - wood paneled walls and light polished stone tiles. The room has a large table in the center with chairs pushed in, a stack of blank papers along with ink pens and inkwells on top.
John seems to work on materializing a set of greaves, and then hands you an empty mana stone. ____________________

It allows anyone who knows it to create simple spells to do any task. The only catch being that this kind of magic was supposed to be banished from this world long ago by the Ruhe - shamans that Kyeltziv has already, well, encountered. Basically, it's outlawed, taboo magic, which would also be why I needed to speak with you in such a secure location.
My... dictionary in it is limited, but we can still create a few interesting gadgets if we put our heads together. For example, this piece of paper creates a point of light for the 20 closest spirits it can find."
