With the recent influx of role-playing games in our forum here, I thought I'd make one too.
NOTICE: We are full! Any new players will be added to the waiting list. PLEASE PM ME IF YOU WISH TO JOIN.
Here are the rules:

* I will be the Game Master, you must obey my every command.
* On your turn you will announce your action. It must be a single action.
* To determine success of your action, I will use a random number generator from 1-100. Higher numbers denote better success.
* Up to nine people can join the game at a time and the difficulty will be higher or lower depending on the strength of the players.
* You'll have two days to make your action. If you do not your character will be vaporized and the person next on the waiting list will take your place.

Inventory: (Your character's stuff; this includes weapons, items and objects gained from gameplay)

Appearance: (what your character looks like; pictures are helpful)
Skills: (maximum of four, see below)

A note on skills: if you choose to use a skill on your turn, you get a bonus on your roll. You can use multiple skills each turn. The more skills you use, the lower the bonus of your skills becomes.
1 skill: 4x
2 skills: 2x
3 skills: 1x (no change)
4 skills: 0.5x (halved)

Story
Your main opposition and Arch Nemesis is Dr. Xeno, an evil mad scientist.
You are a group of special agents gathered together by United Nations to stop the plans of Dr. Xeno. Private investigations have uncovered genetic experiments in Dr. Xeno's CFAC (center for animal cruelty) and we believe that he is using them for militaristic purposes.

This game will be moderately realistic. For actions, it must be something a real person would be able to do with the same amount of resources that your character has. This means no flying, no spontaneous mutations, no rigging bombs from old shoes, and so on. Everything that happens in the game should be able to happen in the real world.

Oh my, your formatting there is horrible. If you could re-format it you might get some more players. Also, what is the story you have in mind?

And also, just a warning, Grif don't like role-playing games. He is letting the ones that exist go, but if there is too many, well, I don't know what he will do.

If you won't do it now, then I'll do it for you, since I am currently waiting on something. I ask in return for a position in the game if it doesn't get vaporised by Grif or anyone else. Just make sure that you have the dedication to keep it going for AT LEAST two months.

Yeah, Grif's typically pretty chill, but if he doesn't like a topic in the first place and there's dickery going on inside, he's much more inclined to do something about it with his hammer.

No it's not? It's pretty much the same thing? Not as though he's really going to think up of 100 different potential outcomes for every action. A 67 will probably get you the same result as a 68, or a 69. The difference is negligible and superficial.

Ragdollmaster is correct.
There will be more than six outcomes, and I will not set these to specific numbers, i.e, you will not know when you have succeeded (except for the obvious).
However multiple numbers will have the same outcome, as specified by Ragdollmaster.
This system comes in handy when using knowledge checks: you will not know if there is something more out there which you failed to find.

So im still right, it is less restrictive then the system used in the RtDs, as this has 10+ different possible outcomes, rather then the RtDs 6.

You are currently on a helicopter, preparing to make the paradrop.
You all have one action before the drop :smile:
Oh, and Dr. Xeno is also the worlds leader in energy weapons development.
It doesn't really matter what order you declare your actions in. I'll keep track of who has taken their action.
