Hey guys, just discovered Cortex Command and this forum. I've always been a Lua coder, and I were interested to see what you used to make weapons here. I got shocked. Being used to Garry'smod's Lua, I started to laugh like a maniac when I saw how easy it was using .ini files. Anyways, enough of me I present to you- The Minigun, a horribly overpowered "gatler" with 5000 ammonution, and a firing rate at 12750 RPM. And this is the Mini Rocket Launcher. Has a ammonution capacity at 45 rounds, and fire them at a VERY high rate. This beast is fully automatic. Also includes two units. Nothing to get pic's off, it's the Coalition soldiers with more health and less cost. :INSTALL INSTRUCTION: Put the folder named "Minigun.rte" into (usually) C: / Program Files / Data Realms / Cortex Command. When starting up, the MOD should add the two guns and units. Guns wil be under "Minigun Weapons" [WITH ""] and soldiers under Minigun. FAQ- I firstly released this on Facepunch. Q: Isn't this horribly overpowered? A: Of course it is. Q: This is stupid, a gatler can't fire 2500 .50 rounds without 'sploding because of the heat?! A: I know. The MRL isn't real either. Q: The MRL isn't real either. A: It's a game, you should believe that rocket launcher could easily have 45 rockets in a 15X12 Cm magezine, and afterwards fire them at a rate of 1500 RPM! Q: I love you. A: F*** off. Q: I hate you! This thing suck! A: Oh, what a jolly good childhood you must have experienced. Q: Mac rules! A: Go buy a NORMAL PC like a NORMAL person would do. Q: Any custom models?? A: Both weapons have custom models, and so have the soldiers. __________________________ Please tell me what you want to tell me.

Maybe a mod deleted them because they were all flaming and/or off-topic? That aside, this doesn't look too promising, although it isn't half bad for a first mod. |

all I wanted to say is: your FAQ is not good enough for me that are no real questions and personaly i dont like overpowered weapons (maybe a little cuz i like the tek troopers some people say its overpowered) no DL |

Maybe you would stop flaming now? I don't think there's going to come any good from just bashing this mod, instead you could shut up or say something constructive. Not everyone is good at modding when they start. |

I have something like this. It's called the Rapin' Gun. It has a very specific purpose. When I find a mod out there that's overpowered (but unlike this, claims 'balance', that is that the gold cost was whacked up). I download them. Then I load them into Cortex Command and place an army of them in the map. I put them on the other team for extra sporting value. Then, I take out the Rapin' Gun and obliterate every last one of them. They might shoot back a few times, but not like it makes much difference to their fate. The faction is left in smoking ruins, I feel throughly cleansed, and a flame war is averted! ... what I'm trying to say is, these mods have a place. And that is on your hard drive only. |
