Post subject:  CCPD Mod Pack (Updated 10/21/08)

Hi these are my first mods and i put them all into a package. CCPD stands for Cortex Command Police Department and eventually i'll make speciel dropships and rockets for it but for now i want to know what the community thinks.

CCPD Dummy (CCPDDummy.rte)
Re-Sprited Dummy thats stronger than a regular dummy, with stiffer limbs so you won't die as easily. It's also blue..

CCPD Taser (CCPDTaser.rte)
Your usual under-powered police taser, but made for cortex command

CCPD Shield (new) (CCPDShield.rte)
This is the old shield but since many people complained about it's length i made it a lot longer

Dart Launcher (DartLauncher.rte)
This gun fires 4 darts with each round and is more expensive than the other guns, alotugh it wasn't made CCPD, sprited with a jungle theme

CCPD Rapid-Fire Shotgun (CCPDShotgun.rte)
This gun was uploaded in the previous version but it was way over-powered so now it been made more balanced

Crowd Clearing Grenade (CCPDGrenade1.rte, im making more)
This bomb ejects a massive puff of air that sends actors off thier feet and dis arms them if they get too close

-Fixed the cannon sprite, and the problem it had (darts would blow up)

From the gifs, I see too much rape. Should have put enemies there so we could really see.

overpowered simple re-colours. No DL. Especially the whole 'gives you money' thing. That's just dumb!

And that WAS constructive, i pointed out the problems!

Wait since when does Cortex Command need a police department? I thought the Coalition just goes in and imposes martial law.

Also these need more work, try to improve your spriting skills and add some creativity to the weapons.

Well, not much a police force can do while watching ARMIES fight to their deaths. Need some explanation for this faction. Also, the weapons rape the regular actors too much.

If I were you, I'd drop the whole police thing. On the other hand, the sprites are pretty nice, but there's too much blue on the weapons. Lemme review each element:

Actor: The Dummy is nice. It may be a resprite, but it's a nice looking one. It's not too strong, either.

Shotgun: Lower the ammo dramatically, and it should be ok. Two ammo would be alright.

Blunderbuzz: It is too much like the original blunderbuzz. It looks like the only difference is the sprite and the number of bullets per shot.

Burster: Total hack. Too many bullets.

Shield: Make it longer. It's nice as it is, but it's too short.

This reminds me of ye olde build 13 - 14 mods...i like the presentation but make the weapons and such a bit more original.

It's my bro's first mod, he did say he wanted to hear what ppl would say before doing anything else. I like the idea of the CCPD, he said he wanted to do something like Robocop.

okay i'll look at them again. ill remove the blunderbuss i don't really like it either, and i agree on the burster its a total hack i made for myself and wanted some feedback on how good it was. I'll make these more original but it's a work in progess i'll remove/add things when i make stuff to replace it

But Police make no sense in this game. although Robocop is cool.

Lower the burster's magazine count to 20 or maybe 30 bullets so it's kind of balanced.

I think you put a lot of effort, so I commend you for that. The colors are just personally not what I see fitting into CC. Keep the good work coming though!
