Legio Machina [WIP] [PRAETORIANS!]
Legio MachinaThanks to advanced technology, some of the greatest minds of an ancient race of Humans have been resurrected. Their deep knowledge of combat strategy and tactics are a highly desirable asset to any army, and the same principles apply in modern warfare. From the minds of these great leaders comes Legio Machina, the Machine Legion. Now updated with new unit and some balances/fixes!- Praetorian - versatile combat automaton - Outlines darkened (I noticed the blue was pretty bright upon switching to a new monitor) and a tiny bit more contrast in the shading. Units are not as bright as before. - Weapons tweaked - Particularly the Gladius models. They are far more deadly. All weapons now have increased joint strength, since their length makes them fairly easy to knock out off. - Mini update - Praetorian's legs can now be shot offMost of the work has gone on the Praetorian, those walk paths are hell! It walks fairly competently now, but has a tendency to trip over itself. I believe I've gotten to a playable/bearable standard. It's still extremely fun to use! RobotsMachinatorEngineers of the field, their primary function is the mining of precious Gold, repairing holes in defenses and clearing obstructive rubble. Updated: He now looks much less like the Dummy, and more like a cheap labour unit! I'm wondering whether to make diggers and concrete guns for this force, but at most they'd only be graphical changes. Your thoughts? LegionaryThe core of the Legio Machina forces. They boast heavy frontal armour (thigh to neck!), and a standard helmet. AquiliferThe standard bearer. This unit is purely aesthetic, and has the same characteristics as the Legionary. HastatiDesigned for rapid assault from both air and ground. The Hastati have the quickest walking speed, and their powerful jetpacks allow them to fly fast with their heavy weapon/shield combination. CenturionThe Centurion is the prime defensive unit, but also the most expensive. He is protected at the back as well as the front, and the robot beneath the armour also has increased durability. All this armour comes at a price - weight. The Centurion is the slowest Legio Machina robot. Praetorian - new!A mobile weapons platform, capable of giving and taking a lot of punishment. It includes a jump-pack to navigate trickier obstacles and reach higher ground... or simply attempt to land on your foes! The Praetorian comes with the Spatha MkIII wheel-mounted gun. WeaponsI have yet to add Drop Ships/Rockets, and any other appropriate units. Keep the suggestions coming

It looks nice, but everything being colored steel blue turns me off.

Re: Legio Machina [WIP]
Epic, I like this mod. The sprites are somewhat simple, but it is very effective.

Hope the final version is awesome! It actually isnt medieval at all. The Roman empire was at its peak long before the "medieval" age. On-topic: The sprites look great, and you obviously put a lot of work into the mod. Great job!

Re: Legio Machina [WIP]
Are these... Robot ghosts, or robots made of marble? Either way, this is a very unique faction.
The guns are good, I especially like the shotgun and hasta. The shields are also quite good.
The Machinetor is far too much like the dummy; it's mainly the head's shape that makes it obvious. Other than that, the actors are great, I especially like the Hastati.
The jetpacks are just a tad typical though.
You might want to consider a digger for the machinetor; if digging is it's primary function, and CC diggers certainly weren't invented in roman times... or were they? And maybe a grenade or two.
