Passive Defenses, as in walls, bunkers, etc... As my first mod, I thought I'd try something relatively simple. Unfortunately I've run into an odd error. The error does not actually show up telling me what is wrong, it instead shuts down the game. The error occurs when you click "Passive Defenses" in the build mode. I'm just curious if anyone here knows what happened and knows how to fix the issue. [Errored version removed] -------------------------------- Okay, so here's my "first" release. Attachment: The most basic defense of any above-ground base. Although some can just jet over the walls, by placing an armed guard on the wall, you can increase the effectiveness by a bit. For aesthetics purposes, there are background versions of the wall to give your above-ground a feeling of depth. (To give the perception that the base is enclosed by a continuous wall.) Attachment:
[The extension png has been deactivated and can no longer be displayed.] For those who really don't care, here is a smaller version that only has the basic wall in it: Attachment: As a WIP, more will be added later. Also, there are slight offset errors that I know I need to fix. Edit: Fixed full version. Edit 2: Re-post of mod to first post. Edit 3: New version posted. |

To fix a palette error: 1) open up the Base.rte palette with paint 2) open up your sprite in another window of paint 3) copy your sprite 4) resize the palette to accommodate your sprite 5) paste your sprite and move into correct position 6) crop as needed 7) save file as your sprite NOT as the Base.rte palette as that WILL cause problems There you go hope that helps |

Your "Passive Defenses full.rte" has a problem. In the index.ini, line 2 should be: IncludeFile = Passive Defenses full.rte/Walls.ini Instead of: IncludeFile = Passive Defenses.rte/Walls.ini |

Nice spriting there and I like the idea of the background walls alot, makes the base look more of a proper base rather than a random concrete block series. |

very battlefield 2142-ish. Good concept though. A walkway wall hasn't been done yet, as far as I know. |

Wow looks really good, glad to find that I could be of help there. I'm kinda confused though as to whether your done or not. Will there be more than just the wall, tower, and rocket base? |

Make a bunker entrance that lead down into underground facilities, give the entrance a big set of doors. |
