It's a dropship. It has 2 engines, and it dosn't have to land, which is why it will NEVER have legs. If this is a rocket, the antigravity thing fails. If this is a dropship, the concept of landing gear fails, though the 2 doors is entirely possible.
Sorry for the long wait for a verdict:
The pistols fail epicly as a backup. If your main weapon is destroyed then the pistols simply are not powerful enough to stop a dummy with an AK-47.
The sweeper I have tried already. I recommend it being a lot stronger and heavier.
The assault rifle is exactly the same but lighter. Make it less powerful or make th sweeper more.
the sniper rifle is an epic 1-hit-killer. You can headshot a dummy and it will instagib it. Not even any flying parts. It just gibs into it's separate components.
The grenade lobber is epic for clearing out small rooms. I tried on the tut base and ruled the dummy bunker with it.

It doesn't necessarily have to land, it's just a concept. It can be adapted to the limitations of the game.

I don't mind what it is, but according to your idea it's an impossible hybrid. Dropships don't land, and rockets don't have 2 engines. You must make it one or the other. Personally, I think it would make a much better dropship. the 2 doors should be kept though. That will provide flexibility.

Both can be retrofitted. A dropship with a really low minimum thrust value could land (though it wouldn't stay there very long), and you can rig the rocket thruster to emit in two locations, even if there's only one engine. The rocket retrofit would probably work better for functionality's sake.

there is a drop-ship variable "CanLand = 0/1" which allows them to touch down. if you made it so the legs were just parts of the main sprite, they would still interact with the terrain, but not bend like normal legs.. if you want legs you need to use an ACRocket, but you cant have doors. i think the drop-ship will work better in this case..

Kwl, put it as 1, and people can land if they want.

This looks nice. It kind of reminds me of the Beast in Homeworld: Cataclysm. :)

Remember the old AAL Titan dropship? It dropped troops from three different locations on that hatch.

Yes.
