Catalogue:

Image The Amputee is quick, fast and... Well those are really his only good points. Use them as cannon fodder.

Image The Reinforced Amputee is a bit slower but makes up for this with vastly improved armour and durability.

Image Combines the speed and manueverability of the Amputee with the lifespan of the Reinforced. This unit is understandably the most expensive of the three.

Image The Gunslinger Amputee is a regular Amputee preloaded with two Maneater I pistols and a trendy bandana. The Maneater is a high-power sidearm but takes a long time to reload. We also supply the Maneater II which has a larger clip and an auto function but even longer reload times.

Changelist:
Added Assault Amputee
Made this post look fancier 0:

Coming soon:
Some sort of shotgun
Grenades maybe
New sprites
Perhaps some sort of spawning machine

Abortion in file .\System\DDTError.cpp, line 109, becuase:
Assertion failed: Stream suggests allocating an unallocatable type in Gib::Create!
The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'

The abortscreen shots amputech pistol.ini, line 100.
this is when starting with amputech.

That'll teach me to make untested last minute changes.
I know what it is though, fix coming up within five minutes.

Edit: Fixed. The error was that I added an extra S in one line. :V

As a side note, they can still walk through eachother (and possibly any other unit).
It means you can't body slam people to death, but as they are designed as zerg-style mass cannon fodder that is probably a good thing.

If you really want to kill someone at close range (maybe you're reloading), stand inside of them and jetpack.

While these are pretty fun to use, are they supposed to spontaneously combust? Every time i order one, they live for about 3 minutes then blow up due to either:
-me using his jetpack again
-just firing a perfectly new maneater pistol
-and landing perfectly on just about anything!

othere than those i like them alot and they go well with the vanilla laser rifle. :) :)

The jetpack is a little messed up, it is probably due to that. I've done some tweaks on that and the pistol, but I'm going to add another actor or two before I release them.

Oh, and if someone shoots the pistol it will probably kill you, it has only one health and it explodes when it dies.

Have you thought of some kind of powered armor for them? I think it'd be cool to see a power suited amputee walking around and blasting clones. I can't find much in the way of pictures other than this: http://www.maschinenkrueger.com/models/safsfbsg.html

Actually I have something exactly like that planned.
Well, it doesn't look exactly like that, but the same sort of style yes.

It's not only going to be fragile, super cheap actors.

Nine downloads since I put it on Mod DB and not a single reply? (Except by Geti but he said he couldn't download it yet).
I guess this means they must already be perfect :V

Don't expect much progress during Monday to Thursday, I don't get much time for modding on weekdays except on Friday.

hey, these dudes are still cool. weapon needs some work, and less glow. the bullets dont look very good the way they are now. and goddamn the maneaters gib easily XD
very fragile, awesome looking actors. love the stance. make some custom gibs =.=
