So this is pretty much the best thing I've ever seen on Kickstarter. To sum it up: Virtual Reality headset. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/152 ... o-the-game To give you some idea of how popular it already is, the Kickstarter has been active for 4 days. As of this post it currently has approximately $1,270,000 USD from 5,227 backers. Thoughts? I'm pretty stoked to see how this progresses. Virtual reality is something that people have sort of expected from video games at an eventual point- you can only have so much immersion with a controller and a screen, after all- but it's not really something that there has been a lot of practical advances in, to my knowledge. Maybe the Battlefield 3 simulator comes to mind, but other than that, I find this to be pretty groundbreaking and frankly fascinating technology. |

That's amazing, If I had any money left on my prepaid card, all of it would go into this. I saw the thing about DooM 3 BFG edition before, I was like OMG. I want that thing, I would literally sell myself on the street to get one early. |

This looks really cool but I wonder when will they invent a truly 3d experience to be able to run, duck and dodge like in the http://www.virtusphere.com/ joc |

I'd reccomend you wait a bit for 120hz ones tbh, considering how unideal 60hz actually is for this purpose. |

How so? Did you buy one of the developer kits thus prolonging development of compatible games? |

it'd work quite well if the scenes' layers were shown 3D-style. |

CC 3D... Man, imagine a MMORPG game that would be the same thing as Cortex Command, but would also have an open world like World of Warcraft, and you were a brain bot, and you would buy weapons, level up, and buy clones from the Black Market or Trade Star, depending on which side you choose: Good or Evil. Man, that would be so not-run-able-in-my-garbage. |

MMO, maybe, but NOT MMORPG. To much grinding and stuff and how would that work with destructible terrain? |

An MMO CC? I would prefer if you played as the clones and had permadeath enabled. You would have to work with your squad mates to take down an outpost or base or something. Actually, that would work better as just a regular multiplayer game. Cortex Command would never work as an MMO. |

No guys ignore the whole mmo for a second and ignore 3d objects. Just imagine layering what we have in 3D. |
