Hi, I'm trying to learn how to use opengl using c++, so I made a little 2d game that uses it, it is still quite buggy but it can be fun(if you like crazy bouncing ducks of death). ![]() So here it is: Attachment: You can control the guy with the arrow keys, shoot with down and throw a bomb with space, and the duck with jlik and enter.

Rather decent I've never been able to work with OpenGL, So what you've got there is decent enough sure its simple but its something. |

Updated, now the terrain blocks are 1 px wide, like in CC. Also it now uses the GPU to display the terrain, so it should not be too laggy. |

I'm getting just below 25 FPS, but it crashes very often, sometimes badly. Looking awesome so far!

Thanks, I'm still working on these crashes, but have made no progress so far, there's also a benine memory leak when bombs are in the game I haven't been able to fix. The development of this game will be on hold for about a week since I must work my math for the exam next wednesday(horrible partial differential equations, among other things, plus I have 3 other exams this same week). |

Thanks, the good thing is that programming this game has made me more than ready for the C++ exam, now math will be the hardest of all since I'm very bad at this. Classical mecanics should be ok and I'm quite confident I can perform well in electromagnetism. |

Good luck on your exams! Affichage: ~25 hz Lumiere: ~35hz Soleil: ~2.1 Edit: Display, light and sun? No framerate anywhere.

Thanks, affichage is the display frequency(1Hz = 1 frame per second), lumière is the light cumputation frequency, and well soleil has nothing to do with all that, it's just the relative position of the sun(its angle in radians). |
