Post Team Fortress Deux
Is worth it's own thread, because, c'mon now, who's really gonna play those other dumb F2P games on Steam? The world's #1 war-themed hat simulator awaits.

So yeah. Anyone on DRL down to agree upon a community server? We don't necessarily have to host one, since we don't have the volume to really fill it, but picking a fairly stable pub to meet up in would be agreeable, no?

I'd be up for a game with all you classy DRL folks. Just name a server and I'd try to show up.

I wouldn't mind it, but I mightn't be able to show up on weekdays due to timezone shenanigans.

I'm going to be away for a week, but after that it's pretty much holidays without interruptions.
So, if we get a server, expect to see me there a lot.
Even though I suck in this game.

I'd be willing to host. I mean, I run my computer pretty much 24/7 at any given time.

-edit-

Alright, I need some test subjects.

2fort? I grew out of that before I got TF2 for pc.
Personally, I'd prefer 5v5 or so arena.

I don't like 2fort in TF2. It was better in the first game, where you could drown entering through the sewers, and there was no cover on the bridge between forts.

I'll be there practicing all my newbie ways. I've still got my BC2 FPS mind frame. Best class?

A good place to start is generally soldier. Try out the training part from the main menu.

For starting, I'd personally recommend playing Medic.
You're useful pretty much no matter what you do, and you can see how everyone else works.
Although, try remember the gun has freakishly fast arcing.

Hardest class to pick up would be Spy.

Funny, spy is my best and easiest class.

I'd recommend the medic, too. But that's useless if your team is made of idiots who can't help you. Heavy might also be good, but you have to have good reflexes, as you are slow and your gun takes some time to finally shoot.

If you're tired of spies, go demoman and equip the Ullapool Caber, then just go around and hit every friendly you see.
When you hit a spy it blows up, killing him instantly.

I definitely recommend Demoman for beginners. Indirect fire is a good time, and he's good on offense or defense.
