Call of Duty: Black Ops - Zombie Mode
Anyone have any tips on zombie mode? Also add me so we can play some time. 'Sakiskid' on XBL or PSN I'm gonna put all of the tips here Call of Duty: Black Ops - Zombie Mode Tips and Tricks - Go for headshots (obviously)
- Knife everything on the first two levels
- Knifing gets a lot more points when you kill them. 130, to be exact.
- On round 1, shoot them in the chest 4 times, then knife. On round 2, shoot a whole clip in the chest, then knife. Just a way to rack up them points!
- On the first couple of rounds make sure you knife them once they come out of the barriers so that way they might be able to drop some powerups.
- Pack-A-Punched pistols are great. Ballistic Knife + Bowie Knife + Juggernog are great. Abuse teleporters and elevators. Your biggest problem later in the game will always be ammo. Generally you want to have one good gun, then you want to go for Pack-A-Punch, then depending on your main gun you either want to get a backup or Juggernog.
- Watch out for the Ray Gun's splash damage; you can kill yourself with it.
- Coordinate reloads, especially during dogs.
- Have everyone reload before picking up Max Ammos- they only refill reserve ammo, not your clip.
- Don't risk your life to try and save your friend's, even if he has a power weapon. Ditch.
- Running to an unopened door and then opening it when the horde gets too close is an excellent way to survive.
- Grenade the last zombie of a round so you can run around and do stuff unimpeded. Note that sometimes in doesn't turn that last zombie into a crawler.
- Go for big ammo guns!
- If you have a big reload time on your gun, make sure you have speed-cola!
Powerups/Upgrades - Pack-A-Punch: Upgrades your weapon
- Quick Revive: Revives yourself, and Pack-A-Punches your pistols temporarily while your down.*
- Mystery Box: Is randomly placed on the map. On Kino Der Toten, once you turn the power on a map above the boxes will light up and show you where the Mystery Box is. The Mystery Box costs 950 to use and will dispense a weapon at random. (Note: if you get the teddy bear the Mystery Box will move spots.) On "FIVE", take the first elevator down to the pentagon, then take the bigger elevator down the the science labs. In one of the rooms you will see the Mystery Box glowing, open that door and there you go.
- Max Ammo - Refills all ammo in reserve. Reload before you get this.
Keywords [*] Crawler - Name for the zombie that has no legs. There are two types of crawlers, fast and slow. Slow crawlers are good for stalling the level so you can run around and do things. [*] Powerups - They power you up. Pretty simple really. [*] Bowie Knife - Makes your knifing faster* and stronger. [*] Dogs - Appear in Kino Der Toten usually in level 5-6. They are fast hounds and some are on fire so watch out! [*] [*] * I'm not really sure about this. Means something of importance

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops - Zombie Mode
What's changed between WaW's and Blops's zombie modes? I've only ever played World at War's zombie mode, but go for 1 hit kill weapons. I remember the raygun and revolver were both 1 hit kills, and could even be used while knocked down. Besides that, I don't really know any tricks.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops - Zombie Mode
Don't we already have a Blops thread? In any case Zombies is pretty simple:
General tips: Knifing for the kill gives a lot of money (like 130 or something) so try to finish off with knife whenever possible.
Round 1: 4 shots to chest (this is important, don't hit them in head), then knife (I prefer to jump 360 knife, but that is optional). Round 2 is 1 clip then knife, etc...
Don's be too quick to kill zombies in the first few levels, let them make some progress in so you can repair more and maybe get powerups.
Generally for all zombie maps (including WaW) me and my friends try not to buy anything before reaching the random box. Though on Five we almost always pick up either the MP5 or the Stakeout. On the first blops map if you don't know where the random box is or if it's somewhere retarded it's good to go the upstairs route and get either the Stakeout or the MP40 before turning on the power. Actually, on that map I recommend always taking the top route, except maybe if the box is along the way on the other route, maybe. The bottom route sucks because zombies fall from above and the alley way is generally bad defensively.
PaP pistols are great. Ballistic Knife + Bowie Knife + Juggernaut are great. Abuse teleporters and elevators. Your biggest problem later in the game will always be ammo. Generally you want to have one good gun, then you want to go for PaP, then depending on your main gun you either want to get a backup or Juggernaut.
Watch out for the Ray Gun's splash damage; you can kill yourself with it.
Coordinate reloads, especially during dogs.
Have everyone reload before picking up Max Ammos- they only refill reserve ammo, not your clip.
Don't risk your life to try and save your friend's, even if he has a power weapon. Ditch.
Running to an unopened door ad then opening it when the horde gets too close is an excellent way to survive.
Grenade the last zombie of a round so you can run around and do stuff unimpeded.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops - Zombie Mode
Weapon informationWeapons you want: Elementals (Ice revolver thingy, Zeus Cannon, Ray gun) obviously, these are top priority. Special Weapons I think would be next: Papped crossbow works like a monkey bomb, Ballistic Knife Big Ammo guns: HK21, RPK, or Galil all have a lot of ammo and do decent damage. Who on DR is actually playing this? I'm on PSN. PM me if you want to play.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops - Zombie Mode
Oh I almost forgot, this one makes a big difference for little effort. Go to options and turn Aim-Assist off. As you may have noticed, Zombies has a helluva lot of aim assist, like campaign. Try ADSing, you'll see that you'll automatically be centered on to a zombie's chest. You don't want this at all, you want headshots. Even if you aren't going for headshots, being able to aim where you want unimpeded can be critical. Maybe you want to shoot a crossbow bolt behind the mob to draw them away from you, you don't want it locking on to the nearest enemy's chest and blowing you up. Actually even in just normal zombie shooting it's really useful to be able to aim where you want. Missing is probably not an issue for most players (if you have trouble aiming, by all means leave it on) and speed isn't an issue if you run a relatively high sensitivity (I use 10 for zombies).

Wow you know what sucks? Me and my friend were playing splitscreen online zombies today, and we got to level 20 and then the host disconnected and the game shut down. It sucked.
