League of Legends

For those of you who have played or know about DotA (Defense of the Ancients), then League of Legends is basically that. For the rest of you, LoL is a real-time strategy multiplayer game where you are on a team of 3 or 5 champions going against another such team where the goal is to kill enemy minions (uncontrollable NPCs that follow predetermined "lanes" of movement), destroy enemy towers, and eventually reach and destroy the enemy nexus. It's based off of Warcraft III and has a huge variety of champions to choose from, each of which performs various roles during the game with 3 abilities, an ultimate ability, and a passive ability that level up over time. Everyone starts at level 1 and gains experience by killing enemy minions, champions, towers, and neutral monsters, eventually growing powerful enough to push far into the enemy base. In summary, it's an MMO in 30-60 minutes.

LoL is free to play and a lot of fun, and the company behind it is pretty cool. As you win (and lose) games, you gain IP which can be spent to unlock new champions and buy various runes that give your champions passive buffs, or you can pay money to unlock champions and new skins for said champions; you never need to donate in order to be more competitive, though donating can speed things up. Me and Aspasia have been playing LoL for a while now. I think I am an okay ashe, and apparently an okay shen too.

Like I said, Roarchat is fantastic. It's populated by sane players, and is great for finding a friend. I'm still not level 30, but I've been playing with 30s for a while(rather poorly), so hit me up if you ever catch me online. I main Fiddles, and also play a bit of Singed.

I may be a lower level, but i have experience in HoN, DoTA and Sotis.

Too bad there are many, many ways to play heroes and there is no such thing as a "best" way.
