It's not much to say really, just a better balanced and a bit less fancy MW2 |

So.. what can you do after you level up and buy all the weapons? Prestige and start all over again? What about user-made content as opposed to 1st party stuff you have to pay for? |

As long as I never see an infinity ward label on one of my call of duty games again i will continually spend money on this franchise, I just love playing it. Its still no new vegas though..... heehee |

My point being "who gives two shits about realism it is overrated". Crossbows are awesome. Explosions are awesome (in a slightly cliche way) Put them together and you have something that even Treyarch can't mess up... hopefully. Honestly, people judge games too seriously these days I am personally looking forward to a game that tries to be super serious about itself but ends up being riddled with ridiculous plot holes and general silliness that kind of slaps that concept in the face with a small hybrid car. Furthermore; you can try as hard as you want to resist the urge, but everybody secretly wants to blow up an attack dog using a crossbow. It is an almost instinctual desire beaten into us as children. Also, zombies. Zombies were fun for a few weeks when CoD5 came out. Hopefully CoD7 will give us another few weeks of fun. Finally; Metal Gears Of Duty 7 1/2: Reach Company. >So.. what can you do after you level up and buy all the weapons? Prestige and start all over again? I try to avoid giving money to Activision as often as I can. |

Acquire it through methods that do not add to Activision's bank account |

I thought the games by IW were much better than those by Treyarch. |

Have you played Reach yet? I look forward to this, though, I don't care if Treyarch made it, I had fun on Big Red One. So ha. |

Tomaster wrote: I thought the games by IW were much better than those by Treyarch. that's because they basically unequivocally were stupid nerdrage aside IW simply puts more time and effort into the games that they produce every treyarch game has been made on a slightly modified version of the engine made for the previous game by infinity ward treyarch has made exactly one not-bad call of duty game (world at war) and exactly one bad one (3) world at war was mostly not bad because of nazi zombies. in fact, it was only not bad because of nazi zombies. the rest of the game was a pile of generic shootan game with no real redeeming qualities "call of duty sqrt(49) : it's in vietnam now" is going to mostly be an enjoyable game with generic action and a few "ridiculous" guns that would pale into comparison to anything from quake or unreal tournament. such is the way of things. it will have barely-if-at-all cohesive storyline, stupid action, require serious suspension of disbelief, and in general be probably about as good as mw2 was, while somehow having a lot less effort put into it it will also make a shitload of money for activision, thus validating their scheme of "make frequent franchise tie-ins and ♥♥♥♥ anything different". this is the way of things so get used to it. whatever you say won't change it. EDIT: special mention goes to fuzzymelon for his glorious naivete: Quote: So.. what can you do after you level up and buy all the weapons? Prestige and start all over again? What about user-made content as opposed to 1st party stuff you have to pay for? hahahahahahaa oh man. this is a console game. even with a perfectly altruistic developer and publisher, the companies in charge of the gorramn console aren't going to allow a high level AAA title to release DLC for free |

No offense to any guys but I really like mods for toys and sandboxes but not for games. If I want to play a game, and not play with it, I demand consistent quality polish. Even in LBP I didn't play user levels, though I did play with the editor. Do you guys feel the same way? The user-made junk comment baffled me. For example, I would never play a mod to Starcraft 1v1. I will play use map settings mini games and stuff, but I would never play a mod that adds in new units or more resources or something like that. Honestly, I love MW2. I have like 250 hours in it (not to mention playing splitscreen with bros at their houses). I loved MW1 also, though not to the same extent. But I absolutely hated WaW. I was expecting it to be just as good, I had heard nothing about the IW>Trey stuff, but I played it and I hated it so bad. Like a few levels in a quite. I tried to force myself to like it, but Zombies was the only reason I played the story, and Zombies was the only reason I didn't sell the game after getting to around lvl 20 and vowing I would never play the game again. I don't know why but I freaking hate it, if though it's almost identical to CoD4 but with the scopeless bolt actions I love so much. It makes me feel sick and I expect BO to make me feel the same way. I also I expect I will break down and buy it as well. 60 bucks is worth the potential of 250+ hours of fun (I still play MW2 from time to time) as much as it is worth the high probability of getting 10 hours of fun out of a game I think I'll like. |
