I can't wait for this steampunk looking game, not only because it's awesome, but because it's not going to be underwater for once. Get a look at the debut trailer here. E: Changed title, thank you. |

Hmm. It is interesting, that. Yes, the fact that they didn't name this "Bioshock 3". You'd think they'd do so as fast as possible, considering their previous actions with 2's "Sea of Dreams" nickname. The bigdaddy-like figure which was trampled also seemed me somewhat of a... mocking reference? As if they were trying to say "This is not Rapture. There are no bouncers or splicers here." Areku's thoughts: 1- This is a spin-off. Different setting, different characters, most likely a different "universe" for it to happen in: Bioshock 3 will come later; 2- Similar backstory: Utopia/dystopia, WTF mind-powers, you vs the world; 3- GIANT FUDGE STEAMPUNK CYBORG, *****es; 4- Protagonist screams like a girl; 5- Physically impossible. Still awesome, though; 6- This. Case closed. Well excuse me gentlemen, I'll be backflipping through the fifth floor window. P.S. All your base are belong to us. |

That made absolutely no sense. |

Sakiskid wrote: That made absolutely no sense. Mission: Accomplished. Another interesting fact is how... comical some parts of the trailer look. The end of the floating roses scene, for instance: it felt just like one of those old Bugs Bunny cartoons, in which a person only falls if he/she realizes that they're not standing on a surface. That is unusual, if you ask me. BS 1 & 2 were extremely fun games, but most definitely not funny ones. You knew from the very beggining that you were waist-deep in trouble, and that no one was going to help you. This one, however... it seems me somewhat of a "lighter" game. But I probably should stop theorizing about those mere two minutes of footage they actually released, and wait until 2K gives us something more concrete. |

Pun intended, or no? "Lighter" heheh. Yeah I thought it looked like an old cartoon there as well. |

They'll probably have undefeatable enemies chasing you. |

Big daddies with jetpacks? I sort of don't like the idea of being in the air since it seems like this will restrict the hell out of your movement. If I want to go to that carnival platform, I have to take a long and narrow walkway making me super vulnerable to those damn flying daddies. I just want to see some game footage to tell how they're going to pull this off. |

The first two games were noticeably steam-punkish (especially with 2's weapons and the train) but this one is a lot more obvious. Zeppelins and flying houses? If they're going to go down that path, it is absolutely vital to the success of the series' that one of the protagonists is a half-cyborg version of Abraham Lincoln, with a flamethrower named "Truth" for his left arm and a minigun named "Honesty" for his right. If he has a flying fortress made out of logs, bonus points. |

For some reason, that made me picture Cyborg Lincoln with a steampunk version of Bionic Commando's arm, swinging from building to building in a flying city, while shooting at communists with a machineguns mounted to his boots. Thank you so much. |

Kind of an old picture, but still pretty cool. Did you imagine all that first and then remember that picture or the other way around? |
