So I'm looking for a good computer that has some nice high performance and still kinda' cheap. I'm not the best with internal computer stuff, so I don't know exactly what to ask for. I would also like to know if a pre-built or a self-built (individual parts bought?) computer will be a better choice, though I don't have much of a clue of how to put a computer together myself without a guide. I'm looking for a computer that's relatively cheap, no more than around $1000. And by that I mean not like $1500. And if any guidance is avaiable I would very much appreciate it. If it's a self-built please provide the parts and links to where I can get them. Help?

Self built is going to be pretty dramatically cheaper; labor costs are pretty terrible. 800 USD (sans monitor, keyboard, mouse) will get you a quite capable desktop |

I'm actually pretty much in the same boat. |
