Re: Battlefield 3
A lot of the movement animations of the player as seen by him remind me of Mirror's Edge. Took me a few seconds to remember that DICE developed both

Yeah it's a pretty ♥♥♥♥ system, and you have to run it out of your browser.

Re: Battlefield 3
So I played for about an hour and a half just before. Coming out the other side, it feels like all the grief getting the ♥♥♥♥ thing functional was worth it. My K/D is awful though I'm assuming this map is a bit faster paced than the larger one that isn't up any more ( ) because it's made of choke points? Either way, shootan was fun, I'll play more tonight probably but I've got a lot to get done this weekend. Hopefully I can get into a game with some of you and not totally embarrass myself

Yeah I could've done with a pickup 4/5 of those deaths I was behind reasonable cover and all, just poked my head out and the wrong time or for too long. Add me on battlelog or whatever hope to see you around at some point.

Re: Battlefield 3
Shooting feels so different from BC2, especially sniping. I suppose once I get used to it my K/D will go up.

Re: Battlefield 3
This isn't BC3, this is BF3. Dammit Kettenkrad. Also, @Geti: My K/D was horrible at first too, but I got it over 1 now finally.

Re: Battlefield 3
Hahah it's bombed again to <0.4 I played an hour with enough lag to rubber band around walls and jitter about with aim and such. Not doing that again I don't think (It'll probably happen tonight)
I want to play a more open map, this feels too fast paced for little old me.

Re: Battlefield 3
I agree, I don't like Operation Métro. The 1st and the 4th stages are the best imho.

Re: Battlefield 3
♥♥♥♥ that needs fixing/adding: No menu. The ♥♥♥♥. I don't want to use firefox as my server browser because it was easier for you to code it in web 2.0 crap, I have to reload the game each time this way! No post game server-wide chat. Why can't there just be chat all the time? How am I meant to say GG this way, watch tickets? The esc menu closes when I die. That's crap, I wanted to change settings. Oh and the gameplay specific bugs too That said, had some enjoyable sniping and some enjoyable AR/SG romps. Hopefully a patch for various things comes soon. I'm going to not play during the week to preserve sanity/make sure I get some work done though

Re: Battlefield 3
The map is useless atm. From what I've heard, helicopter controls suck. Like, even worse limitations than in BC2. Then there's this thing about stats not showing ♥♥♥♥ like revives and repairs and stuff. Game needs to get rid of this "OMG EXPERIENCE MORE EXPERIENCE EVEN MORE UNLOCKS" debriefing and use the old BF2-style debrief.
