Re: The legacy of Fima: DF Succession Game
Hmm. I had thought that underground farms could only be built on tiles that were always marked as "underground".

Re: The legacy of Fima: DF Succession Game
Right, I just tunneled into the wall of the pit. All around the edge I made a catwalk of sorts to assist in collapsing the remaining bits of rock floor floating around. I'm finishing up the farm now and after I'll post the save and a multilayer screendump. EDIT: Here's the save, dump is optimizing, should be up in a few minutes. DUMP

Re: The legacy of Fima: DF Succession Game
Well, Alpha, your turn has started. Just tell us when you've downloaded the save, if you will.

Use d16. Most addons don't work with 18.
And alpha, are you even aware your turn has started?

Re: The legacy of Fima: DF Succession Game
um... I am now Sorry 'bout my pause, I haven't been on the forums for days. Now I'm going to pull a stupid and ask where you put the save. Does it just go in "save" the folder? or is there some other stupid thing I've forgotten?

Re: The legacy of Fima: DF Succession Game
You just unzip the "DRL Succession w/e" folder into your data/saves folder and when you start the folder name will be in your continue menu.

Re: The legacy of Fima: DF Succession Game
aha, that's what I was missing. Playing now, will edit with initial comments.
EDIT: Okay, I reeealy don't know what's happening, but I assume that hole is part of some mega-project. Not touching that. Also, too much red. I'm going to go blind. I have no clue what's happening.
Am I supposed to play for one year, or 24 hours?
EDIT2: Can I be a ♥♥♥♥ and deconstruct the trade depot when the elves get here? EDIT3: Since when is there a ♥♥♥♥ job called "Tradesmith"? And why do we have no full time military? EDIT4: Autumn has come, and nothing has happened yet.

Re: The legacy of Fima: DF Succession Game
Eh, since you've already missed half of your 48-hour turn, I guess it's 24 hours for you, now.
And sure, feel free to take whatever you wish from those cursed tree-huggers, just be aware that they aren't gonna be too happy about it. Also, each one of the starting seven has a -smith job, just for the sake of it. For example, I am an exilesmith, since I actually ran away from the previous fortress after faking my death during Weasel's tantrum spiral, and Geti is an advisorsmith because he was the king's advisor before being sent out as a slave, dying and reincarnating on the body of his twin brother, who, by some strange twist of fate, is also named Geti. You were a minersmith, but then Duh killed you by activating gravity for the floating island you were standing on. Yeah.
Also, I am assigning myself for the turn after yours, but we still have a serious lack of players. Remember, YOUR FORTRESS NEEDS YOU! *Points with finger and makes a serious face*

I'd be up for it. I'm not great constructor or anything, but I get how to play.

Re: The legacy of Fima: DF Succession Game
If you can keep things running, you can play well enough for us. The more ridiculous you make the narrative, the better.
