Hail Armok, God of Blood. Ways to fix boredom: Join a succession game. Mod your dwarves. Make your own race(s). Megaprojects. Murder then eat puppies. Murder then eat kittens.

45, the whole fortress was annihilated by around 12 orcs.
This time around I survived the second raid, but they killed 3 out of 11 legendary wrestling champions dudes. The squad leader has 12 kills on his pocket with absolutely no injuries.
They had to walk trough at least 6 cage traps to get in and even then I was unable to capture even one.

That sounds ridiculous. Is there a way to enable the mod later in a game, when you're actually far more prepared?

Not that I know off, since they're generated with the world they roam around from the start.

I got bored and opened my HFS on my last fort. Hilarity insured as children fled from the horrors of the underworld.

I started plpaying a little while ago. The dragon really isn't that bad, is it? I just got my marksdwarves to shoot the crap out of it from my tower after walling off the entrances. It'll be a megabeast proper when it can actually fly and be fireproof. Anyway, I'm going to see if I can get myself a pump-based mist machine.

Using lots of marksdwarves is considered an exploit, since their bolts do piercing damage which basically overrides all armor, and manages to pierce both their legs, their hand, left lung, seven fingers and right eye in one shot.
