Nope, you can still examine corpses. EDIT: Natti wrote: MY dwarves have ADAMANTINE armor. And spears.
What weapons do you prefer to give your dwarves? Axes, because they double as foresting tools.

Re: Dwarf Fortress - It's about time there's a thread
Also, I got a migrant wave. One of them decided to make an artifact. It is an quartzite amulet that has an image of dwarves travelling in quartzite. The image refers to the founding of my fortress. EDIT: To not make a double post, or to make. That is the question. Anyway, the name of my volcano is The Finger of Fanciness.SECOND EDIT: Ambushed by zombie deers. And a zombie black bear. THIRD EDIT: Zombie Fox. Scary.

How do you find magma/volcanoes when embarking?

Doh! Thanks 3POK! EDIT: checked, there's no way to search for them in 31.03.

I dunno, I use the Mayday tileset. In that volcanoes are red crowns. Like peaks.

From what I hear, toady made it so you can always get magma by digging deep enough in most cases.

Re: Dwarf Fortress - It's about time there's a thread
I find that whenever I go below, say, the depth of 20, I always find some random caves that make my life a living hell.
