Why did he 'zerk right after spawning? I am honestly clueless on why the elf trader went berzerk like that. Maybe because there was no path to a trade depot. Oh and with that trader dead you might have provoked a war.

I set out a fortress right on top of a goblin town and the goblins didn't attack me, at all. Weird.

Thing is, I'm not interacting with these guys in any way. There's not even a Trade Depot. Why can they not leave me alone?!

Well, for some reason DF hates when I run it on a windows thats a few months old. I currently have 6 dwarfs and it's churning out some astonishing 12 FPS.

Teehee...I'm tired of dying in adventure mode, time to break out the 'ol Cheat Engine...
255 points to start, with a frozen value, so it never goes down.
Edit: lol, legendary wrestling, and legendary throwing. I found a bear, and ripped out both its eyes. I think I'll break all its bones...

Dragonhold, my newest fortress (that hasn't failed). Finally somewhat up-and-running. This is the longest I've gone without major problems. Currently working on my main fortress complex while pumping out brew/mushrooms/beds/doors. Once I get the main complex under way, I'll wall off my current entrance and make a more secure one.

After a clean windows the performance is pretty much the same, which is odd considering I used to get around 90+ fps with forty dwarfs on vista. Does DF hate windows 7 or just my computer?

Well it might hate Win7, although I have heard no such news. Ask around the official forums?

Well, I have no clue about what happened, but by the time I booted DF again the fps hit the 100 mark and haven't decreased. Weird crap.
Anywaay. About the orcs, are they recomended?

Never understood the appeal of this game. Someone explain to me exactly why this is an enjoyable experience to them. Sell it to me (if you care) and I might try it at some point.

I tried it, I didn't even know what was going on. At all. And I was using the graphical one. I will never touch this game again.

Epic story of Boatmurdered - this is why you should play DF. Really, the game is very addictive once you grasp the basics.
