Re: Dwarf Fortress - It's about time there's a thread
Win. And the new version of Dwarf Therapist is crap. Half of my dwarves don't show up.

Are you sure your dwarves aren't just dead?

Re: Dwarf Fortress - It's about time there's a thread
In a migration of 8 dwarves, only 4 showed up. In the next migration of I think 7, 2 showed up. All my dwarves are still perfectly healthy. The problem is probably with where DF is storing the dwarves in the RAM.
Also, Natti, where did you get that tileset?

Re: Dwarf Fortress - It's about time there's a thread
It's the tileset of Mayday. http://mayday.w.staszic.waw.pl/df.phpIt has a few other modifications. Newest is for 40d18. A little bit unfinished .31.01 version can be found here: http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/DF2010:TilesetIt doesn't have any modifications.

No, I have the mayday tileset and the backgrounds are all black, not filled in like in your screenshot.

Re: Dwarf Fortress - It's about time there's a thread
I was using the old mayday, v16 because I was playing with the Gibbed's Tweak. I think it's possible with the new one. EDIT: Quote: Note 2: The default tileset is HIGHLITED (all the tiles have backgrounds). If you don't fancy that, the folder data/art contains additional tilesets you can choose from. Edit the file /data/init/init.txt and replace every instance of mayday.png with a tileset of your liking. So says the mighty Mayday.

Although douchey, the "Trade Depot DECONSTRUCT YOINK" method of acquiring goods is extremely effective. And free. I'm only gonna use it this once though. It feels underhanded AND mean. Which it is, but still.

unless, of course, they're them and you don't have your anti-cloth-bareing-things magma system in place yet.
I'm using water, because I have no clue how to use screw pumps.

Re: Dwarf Fortress - It's about time there's a thread
I have no idea what I'm doing any more.
I'm just digging more holes, making more bedrooms, planting more farms, and brewing more beer.

Multiplayer beta, it'll be there within two weeks of release, modded in or otherwise.

@Grif: Provide it yourself Hyperkultra wrote: Although douchey, the "Trade Depot DECONSTRUCT YOINK" method of acquiring goods is extremely effective. If you want to feel more legit, just sieze the goods. It's not like they bring proper backup. also duh, surely dfterm takes care of that anyway?

But these were dwarves. If they were humans, maybe, and if they were elves, I'd just drown them. I do not like stealing from members of our own race....
