Re: WH40k discussion
Thanks, guys, for the tips. If/when I want to do large scale painting, what's a good ratio for the paints? Models should be coming within the month, if not sooner.

What do you mean by ratio? If you're talking about thinning your paints, try around 50/50 or 60/40, with paint being the 60. That, or just use really small dabs of paint at a time, that's what I do. It's not perfect, but it's lazier.

Apparently Matt Ward is a terrible writer http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/598617But this animation is ♥♥♥♥ hilarious Good guys, they have a comic series as well, on the topic of 40k comics.. If you haven't read Turn Signals on a Land Raider it's quite a good read, shame they stopped making them

Re: WH40k discussion
I'd consider getting it except I don't really like either of the factions included and $106.

Re: WH40k discussion
It looks great, but I don't play as either faction. Maybe I can scrounge some of the cultists for my IG

Re: WH40k discussion
DAT DAEMON ENGINE!
I love the look of those chaos marines, and the dark angels are awesome bang for your buck in that box. Looks like way better quality than black reach too.(And yes, black reach was quite crappy quality.)
That said, played my first game of 6th edition today, was fun. New rules are hella nice. Shooting at BS 1 when being charged, being my new favourite, after my psycannon toting purifier mopped up the remain two assault marines.
And warlords(pick one of your HQ and give him three random extra special rules.) can make for some truly awesome challenges when they confront each other. That said, grey knights are overpowered as ♥♥♥♥, I mean psycannons are basically autocannons with assault, however you can also shoot them as heavy 4.
EDIT: Currently watching that thing on newgrounds, the however-however-however part is a good summary of how his codex entry is written.

Re: WH40k discussion
The set is really a fantastic deal for those who want to play Spess or Chayos. I mean, if you buy a set, take one faction, then make a straight trade with somebody else who got it, and suddenly you have like, 35+ soldiers for the price of two termie squads.
