Re: Dwarf Fortress - It's about time there's a thread
Oh ♥♥♥♥! (I'm on the ramp, mistimed the shot apparently) It fully just through me by my teeth! Jesus! Aaaaaaaaaaaaand... Just as I got it to red+ damage it got a lucky roll, smashed me into the wall breaking my leg and pummelled my arm while I was stunned. It then threw me down the hill to where you see me lying now, and then came and delivered the final blow. I already had a mortal wound at that point (a lung bruised beyond repair, apparently) but to get crushed so absolutely in such a giant turnaround was fairly epic. Time to play a fortress I suppose

Y'know about the bug, right? You just can't kill a bronze collossus unless you encase it cooling magma.

Re: Dwarf Fortress - It's about time there's a thread
Yeah, genning a large region, nearly two million events and a thousand years, and still no world. ( I'm expecting a giant cave spider-elephant demon in this world of such enormity )
I would also like to learn how to do combat in adventure mode. :O ( All I know is grab, attack, throw ( non-wrestling ) , and fire )
End of Gen... 1050 Figures ~ 1000000 Dead ~ 500000 Events ~ 2000000
I have archived the vanilla, virgin, large region world, ready to ship... region2.rar, 53.2~MB.

Re: Dwarf Fortress - It's about time there's a thread
Noob Q alert, how do I: attack/kill things, move things from one spot to the next, and get rid of dead bodies?

Set a Garbage Dump with the I - Activity zones menu and designate the bodies to be dumped by k, over them and d.

The body has "d" or whatever but nobody is taking it. Yes, I have haulers, but nobody is doing it.

That has happened to me before, with rocks. Don't know what's wrong with it.
Try designating a graveyard somewhere and removing the dump order, just like you originally gave it.

Meh, oh well, I'll just have a pile of bones on the ground. Also, I started a new game, and my guys won't dig.

Do they have the labor enabled? Do they have picks?

Yes, and I think they have picks. How do I check?

Re: Dwarf Fortress - It's about time there's a thread
If i'm right, press v, then go to the miner, and then press i. You should see his or her inventory then. EDIT: Well ♥♥♥♥ THIS ♥♥♥♥, just discovered an enormous underground cavern, buttload of minerals AND a deep pit ONLY by going down 10 z-levels
