If you see adminium/modblox/whatever you call it, chances are it is there for a reason, so don't break it without asking what's in it.

Bout as long as it takes to restart the server. All it does is shut down the server, copy over the current save with the backed up save, then starts it back up again.

News, in case any of you don't check the blog. It has been and continues to be the plan that multiplayer will be paid-only, so if you plan to play survival multiplayer with yours truly when the time comes, it may be a good idea to buy the game now while it's relatively cheap.

In other news, MinerCPP is coming along very nicely and should be suitable for normal server usage in a matter of days (I need to add a request for whitelisting, but I can tweak the source myself if needed). Water and lava flooding, and physics in general, will be toggleable, and multiple worlds on the same server address is planned.

DFCS is trashed, as the dev has not bought Minecraft and so feels no motivation to continue. Source may or may not be forthcoming, but the severe lag experienced does not warm me to it. Perhaps a continuing dev may fix it.

Opencraft is... planning? There hasn't been a svn submit in over 3 weeks, so I don't know what to think of them. Some forks are floating about, but so far nothing public.
