I take it there will be katanas? No proper zombie game can do without a katana. :twisted:

I was originally thinking more of Painkiller meets 3D Pixel Art (I swear I didn't rip off character models from Minecraft, it's just that Notch has the same idea of perfect-simple as I do) but it's probably going to end up STALKER meets Minecraft meets Killer 7/No More Heroes crazy style, at least that's what I'm aiming for.

About katanas. Ofcorse!
Melee weapons already have their code but they're incredibly buggy, I have some issues with their hit detection (I probably end up doing them Cortex Command style instead) so they aren't available yet.

Oh no, chainsaws are the thing!


Fortunately, you'll be able to mod anything you want. As soon as I implement AoE weapons (week after this) you'll be able to create a rocket laucher that shoots exploding pink bunnies. If you so desire.

Will you need to eat/drink?And in test build can there be a spawn zombie button/auto respawn cause i have to quit to reset zombie but a button that will spawn one were your looking would be better.But its good,alot of potential.

Probably not, what I've got in my mind right now is:
Take Minecraft graphic simplicity but improve upon it (already have support for high-res textures).
Add hordes of ridiculous enemies and make them die and bleed as visually appealing as possible, Painkiller style.
Randomly generate (or build with a level editor, I haven't decided yet), a huge dark level for you to play in, this part is supposed to be "like STALKER".

In week 1 build, pressing Backspace restarts the level, as Miggles said. This weeks build (It'll be out tomorrow) will have a console and console commands to spawn any NPC and Weapon you want (since you will be able to make any amount of NPCs and Weapon you like).

a suggestion, have the High Res quality and textures as a option, my Pc isn't the best of computers and minecraft as well as CC tend to run slow from time to time ( for CC it's anything bigger than the Tutorial mission but it doesn't go Unplayable slow)


Other than this i shall wait for the next build and have play around.

I'm sorry if I was unclear.
I'm going to have the same visual style/texture resolution as you can see on all my screenshots.

But texture resolution isn't restricted, so anyone can simply make textures for zombies 8x times what they are right now, if they wanted.
EDIT: It would only affect your performance if you installed, let say, a high-res texture mod.

Ah, i understand now, thanks. although oddly i can see loads of people... minecraft Fanatics to be exact calling this a rip off minecraft.

Although it's mainly about Destroying than creating if i'm correct?

You won't be able to place blocks, that's I'm 100% sure of and about creating...I don't think you will be creating anything except possibly some kind of large scale traps or something.
You will mostly kill everything that moves and blow up everything that don't.

EDIT: In all honesty, I haven't decided what the game will be all about (except zombies in purple shirts and crazy scientists...and blowing them up), I will definitely need to give all this killing a purpose, eventually.
Suggesting for more features are highly welcome.

maybe a Multi game mode system?

for example 1 : just face against hordes and hordes of zombies / enemies killing them earn money buy upgrades and other weapons inbetween rounds ( like killing floor)
2: time trial, Kill as many zombies and get to Point B from point A in the shortest time possable.

Sounds completely reasonable.
Time Trial gamemode especially could be awesome because instead of going around a building you could go right through it.

A story mode as well, could be considered a relatively good idea.

For example, a zombie outbreak caused by the scientist's co-workers, while he was on the way to work. The only way to stop the infection is at its source, where the information and equipment to make a cure is located. He must make his way to work through the burning remains of civilization.

Simple, but could be expanded into a plot line.
