Re: Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup
I had to mention the rotting part because I didn't know about that when I first played a necromancer (as obvious as it should be.) but yeah, the rest was basically copying you.

bump
i hate how when you use some necromancy spells (like pain) it costs health. that is sooooooo stupid. my favorites race is a vampire cause you dont need food you can just eat corpses (with blood, not poison) i dont know my favorite class yet.

How is that stupid? Necromancy is usually black/dark magic for a reason. It injuring the caster is a common trait.

Re: Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup
Oh I blundered into a hidden thing of sorts. When giving your allies commands, it shows three possible things. There is in fact a fourth which is activated by pressing "p" instead. It says "gang up" but its pretty much just like "attack". Meh.

Re: Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup
I just got chased across 2 levels of the dungeon by a random adventurer before I had to stop to eat something or starve, he killed me while I was eating, so it was kind of pointless anyway.

Re: Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup
i like to do direct damage, not indirect (like summoning minions or something) so the necromancer/summoner guy is not for me. i really like the chaos knight and assassin class. im not a fan of casters cause casting makes you more hungry. of my higher level characters (7-12) they all died of hunger. so i <3 vampires (they can eat corpses and i think mummies/trolls can too). kinda weird. im currently a level 6 Vampire Chaos Knight of Makhleb. Re: Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup
Hunger is one of my biggest problems. I'd nearly forgotten that you get hungry from casting spells.
Maybe I'll try a melee character.

If you get hungry be a mummy. They do not have to eat.
