Re: Duh102's Minecraft server
I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad the server crashes during a flood. Your accidental flood was not saved, so the map restarted perfectly clean.
EDIT: Small problem. Minecraft.net is down. No can play until it's up.

Re: Duh102's Minecraft server
So it seems. Is Minecraft itself down or is it just me?

Re: Duh102's Minecraft server
Minecraft.net, and by extension, the master server that gives my little server all the pertinent information on you guys and redirects you to me.
EDIT: Now that I think of it, this may mean new version. Maybe. Very unlikely maybe.

It's more likely than B24, sadly.

Re: Duh102's Minecraft server
I feel accomplished, we figured out the site was down a full 10 minutes before the official minecraft forum did.
EDIT: Ok guys, I'm going to head to bed. I can't stay up and wait for it to be fixed. If it gets fixed, the earliest my servers will be back up is 5 am EST.

Re: Duh102's Minecraft server | Down until Minecraft comes back
Hopefully the down time is delinking server connection from minecraft.net. Idiotic way of doing things.

Re: Duh102's Minecraft server
Bumpdate. DFCS is now in a usable state, except for one thing and two annoyances. The thing is that whitelisting (currently) doesn't work unless the player is currently logged in or if I manually edit the config file and restart the server, so if you want to be whitelisted you must login to the server and ask an op to whitelist you. I will replace the current test server with DFCS and we can check it out. For your entertainment, unwhitelisted players cannot change blocks but can flail around.
Now the annoyances: One, there is no backup solution built into the server from the start, and the 5x speedhack does funny things to you if you try it. The first is an annoyance for obvious reasons (you guys can't tell when the server has been backed up, can't manually trigger backups) and the second only an annoyance if you like moving fast. When you use the 5x speedhack, you'll be continuously tp'd in place for about a half minute, then released again. I can't tell if this is a bug or a feature. This only affects lateral movement, so going up and down you can use 5x. You can also use 2x speed in all directions no problem.
I'll leave the rest of the features for you to find out when you get there. I should be on the test server all day to answer questions.

Re: Duh102's Minecraft server
5x speedhack bug sounds like it's an anti-cheat measure.

Re: Duh102's Minecraft server
Well that failed mightily. Massive chat and position lag. Not doing that again until it's fixed, might even forget it altogether for MinerCPP.
EDIT: THOR, that's what I thought at first, but then when I tested it with some users it did it even at normal walking pace. I think it's lag and server messups.
