Re: Battlefield 3 I don't understand all the guys at Recon Star 2 using SV98's. Isn't the M40 literally a better version of the SV98? (In game ofc, not real life  )

Re: Battlefield 3 The SV98 has a longer rechamber time and a slightly higher bullet drop than the M40, but it can be deployed quicker. That's just what I've noticed, anyways.

Re: Battlefield 3 The M98B, of course, has the fastest bullet speed, longest distance, and least drop, but the slowest rechamber time and a smaller mag size. Dat .338 cartridge.
Also real men snipe with the .44 Scoped Magnum

The fact that it one-shots to the chest at short-mid range is also a hugeass factor.

Re: Battlefield 3 Also, as far as I know the M98B is the only rifle that can pierce through a tree and kill the guy on the other side, but I might be mistaken. It's the only gun I've successfully used to achieve that feat, anyways.
