Re: Battlefield 3
Miggles, the usas is all fun at a close but not melee range, but beyond that you can out shoot these guys with a lot of other weapons. It all comes down to skill. Btw, last night I played three TDM games in a row where I not only was the MVP, but also had more than twice as many kills as anybody else. Feels good. Especially since I joined in halfway into the first game. ♥♥♥♥ amateurs....... EDIT: DAT AWARD SCORE

Re: Battlefield 3
How would you know if you're only a Sergeant Major? You haven't even unlocked it! That said I almost have Colonel. I am so close I can taste it.
I guess I am a hypocrite because I do admit the USAS is actually pretty kickass.
I've been playing Squad Deathmatch and Rush (normal rush, not squad rush) more lately and holy ♥♥♥♥ can it get hectic and extremely fun. I played a match of Rush on Grand Bazaar the other night, and it was the most fun I've had out of BF3 in a long while. We dominated the first 2 sets of M-COMS within 10 minutes easily. I, as an assault class, was reviving every single teammate to fall, gaining a hella big score bonus. At the third set of M-COMS we were falling short and the enemy was mowing us down like Miguel set forth on my neighbors' lawns. (I hope that didn't offend anyone, mostly because there actually is a guy named Miguel who does mow our lawns) Feeling like Rambo, I rushed (punslolol) as fast as I could past the enemy to the 2nd M-COM and took out the 6 (count 'em, 6!) enemies guarding it, hurriedly planted the bomb and all the while taking down the opposition stealthily. As soon as a clear path was made for my squad, they all sprinted to my position and helped guard the bomb. With, seriously, 1 unit left, we just barely made it to the next set by the skin of our teeth. In the short time thereafter in which we couldn't move forward, we were pounded on by the enemy. There was more ♥♥♥♥ flying around than a latrine filled with nuclear waste. After we cleared the enemy in the small, enclosed path we ran out of, we swiftly planted both bombs and won. I got MVP with somewhere around 36 kills to 9 deaths.

Re: Battlefield 3
FYI, a few updates back they fixed the part where you can lose a rush round when the mcom is armed. So the score will be stuck at 0 as long as the bomb is still ticking. Giving you a chance.
I actually steal weapons a lot/played at somebody else's/played the ♥♥♥♥ out off bc2.

Re: Battlefield 3
Stay the ♥♥♥♥ away from anything with an engine except cars unless it's a vehicle hanging in your base with nobody to take it. Go for objectives. Stick with your squad. Revive people when assault. Give out ammo when support. Repair ♥♥♥♥ when engineer.

Re: Battlefield 3
Be an awesome pilot, I can often get higher scores as a good helicopter pilot than on foot. But in tanks you're often quite rubbish.

Re: Battlefield 3
When you snipe don't rush at people with rifles unless it's a semi-auto and even then it's unadvised. Do t pull any CoD quickscopes or anything. Put beacons in areas near, but away from the enemy. Close enough to be effective but also unheard.
When you're support and you see a tank that hasn't noticed you, try and blow it up with c4. Stay closer to cover, since you'll use it more since you'll start out with a bipod.
And as a general rule of thumb, don't rush at the enemy. Stay calm, move quickly between cover points, and make sure you're safe to go before you do.

You have a lot to learn, firstly don't feel discouraged to "hard scope" for it is 100% accepted and extremely effective in certain situations, tanks can get you massive amounts of points if you don't rambo into 5 engis Last and not least: Spam revive.

Re: Battlefield 3
No you never want to spam revive.
If a dude is on the ground dying he can always be revived after you kill the dude who killed him. If you just revive him without a care in the world, then he might just get killed by the dude who killed him last time.

Re: Battlefield 3
Actually, running from building to building with a close range weapon(shotgun/fast AR/fast SMG) Will also net you a shitton of points since most people don't expect you to just be in their face all of a sudden. AEK971+attachments all the way..... Lizardheim wrote: No you never want to spam revive.

In all other cases, just wait for the right moment.
