Re: gmawd
Are the PHX, Wire and GCombat SVN or some 2 years old random versions?
Does the server have the unofficial wire extras?

SVN, and it doesn't look like it has the unofficial wire.

Re: gmawd
We're almost certainly going to be doing basic construction on flatgrass, at least at first. Regular, boring old flatgrass, also.
Full addon list is on page 2.
The stuff in the download is up to date as of june, I think. Again, not my addon pack.

Re: gmawd
Just waiting on a server link myself. I read a bit on the facebook group page, we're planning on themed build days?

Re: gmawd
"I don't know if I can keep the server up 24/7 because it is my personal machine, but I can try. The main point is that we will have a weekly gathering and that day will be themed. If / When the server goes up any other time, it is free-build. Competitions will require that things be built in advance, so the free-build will be used in an obvious manner--planning and drafting. These rules are not set in stone. TL;DR: One day is Competition Day, where you are expected to bring your COMPLETED contraption"
EDIT: yo, anyone got hammer experience? first build theme is maybe-possibly-I might be completely wrong- going to be soapbox derby, and a custom map would be awesome.

Grif, check out Sledbuild, it's pretty fun, and it's like that soapbox derby thing you mentioned, but with sleds. I like it atleast. http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=653166

OH SNAP sledbuild was freakin great!! I made the fastest headcrab sled anyone's ever seen! It was slow, but the fastest headcrab. The trick with the sleds is have the least amount of surface area touching the ground. And trails. Trails made you go faster.

Re: gmawd
Oh hey it's MNH! Long time no DRLFF, DRLFF. Anyway. That 500Mb zip you're all hurf-blurfing over wasn't really supposed to be an official thing. I passed that link to Eric as my current addon folder to save him from having to go hunting for SVN links and version 0.1583.393.7 of Stacker and such. If we do any sort of organized Gmawd "League of ♥♥♥♥" type-thing, we'll have something more official and I guess less bandwidthy for people who care. That ZIP has one or two maps in it, if you didn't notice. In other news, this ♥♥♥♥ just got serious. I have purchased a 10-slot GMod server from Xenon Servers. Once it has been birthed from the Ether, I will post the details here and in the Facebook group. Consider it a gift to you all, most of whom I don't recognize, but whatever. <3

It will by no means be the prettiest map, but it will be functional. If someone wants to get a vague plan together, I'll have a shot at that. Hmm. Actually, I'm already in the process of making a map for trucking (yes trucking, it is insanely fun in gmod, do not judge me ), so that might be suitable for the purpose. It's vaguely based on Mine a Million, if anyone has played that. Also; fuuuuuck yeeeaah on the server. Sounds incredibly bitchin', but I wonder how my ping will be from England.

Re: gmawd
It goes without saying that this is a super early version, so the stupidness regarding the 32 unit thick cliffs around the roads is going to be revised, and the cliffs are going to look at least slightly nicer at some point as well. No optimisation has been done yet, but it runs okay on my PC at the moment. The idea is that you take some kind of cargo from the mines (visible in the second and forth screens) to the dock, via air, canal, or road. Also works well for impromptu rocket barrage fights, as it happens.
