Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort Game
I don't think you can do RTD's in that style of forum.

All the more reason to use it. Though, I suppose you could, you'd just have no record of what happened a few days ago unless you were manually logging it. If I even made a messageboard games board it's maximum post count would be ~50, because I don't like them, personally

The forums are up!Please don't rape the server too much. Everything will probably be wiped quite a bit over the next few days as I restructure everything, but it's nice to see a working system up!

Yeah, first post on an entire forum. Nice forums, anyway. Thinking about it, isn't impersonation going to be an issue?

Nope, because you can use captags with # or ##

BBCode works (ish) now!Nice, Pete, once I have user-specific lookups and you've concreted your tag I'll give you some sort of colour offset on your name to celebrate.

Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort Game
I was going to delay making bbcode and usertags work for the blog commenting system but changed my mind and mashed it together to prevent confusion. Looks like the bbcode algos are going to be static for a while, unless someone finds an exploit or something. I'm not sure what's happening today, I might add some of the more ergonomic features (thread count, post count per thread etc) because I technically need them to implement the big one, cyclic content. Discuss, I want to hear what everyone thinks in one place.

Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort Game
More forum updates. I'll do some work on Prelude after I write and essay and have dinner, unless that's after 11PM. School is lame.

Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort Game
BLOG UPDATE CONCERNING PRELUDE UPDATE PLEASE READ THE CONTROLS ARE A BIT DIFFERENT@dragonchampion: no crafting sadly, but to make up for it there'll be ~50 or so weapons and items to unlock. I'm still trying to figure out how to do building in-game rather than with the mouse...

This is starting to remind me of Dwarf Fortress.

Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort Game
There will be caves and underground things soon enough, but there's still too much missing functionality in the actual game to start adding bonuses just yet, though I might add an unlockable to test out the embark screen. I may as well make it the first .303 rifle if I do..
