There's Zombie panic, a half life 2 mod that has small ammount of ammo, features barricading, teamwork is important, and the more stuff you carry the slower you get.

And that's supposed to be today, apparently 360 got it this morning. And it's got VS modes for Death Toll and Dead Air.

Btw 11 of those 'new' maps are just modified old maps, at the crescendo/panic/finale events. Kinda lame.
But they are modified so they change over time as the infected break open stuff while attacking you.
And there's the new lighthouse map, Last Stand.

Still waiting, as a PC player, for it.

Simplified setting of game mode

Removed convars director_no_human_zombies and director_holdout_mode

Just played a couple of games. Gah. Didn't even get a bronze medal for lasting longer than 4 minutes.

It's basically a nonstop stream of everything, with at least one tank in play almost all the time.

I think it depends on the difficulty of the map; I specifically remember just barely getting bronze for a 4.00.03 time on the elevator map. I was crouching in a corner, with an incap'd guy for a barricade, which works very well for nabbing a couple last seconds. I like that map the most so far, despite The Last Stand being actually new. I've only played several.

I was expecting a longer game, just an infinite panic/crescendo/finale, not tanks every dozen seconds and three smokers together nabbing everyone else in the room while two Hunters play leapfrog coming at you down another hall.

The download has been out for a few days now and those damn exploiters have already found out a way to win big!

On the Death Toll final there is a group of people who got 900 minutes. Ridiculous.

There is a rock out in the water that infected have a hard time getting too.

Also if you don't shoot the tank it dies on it's own, awarding everyone in the game with the "Man vs Tank" achievement.


EDIT: It's not that great. There needs to be an actual campaign for Last Stand.
Probably why the Xbox download is free though so I'm not complaining! :grin:

Also, if all four people glitch themselves between a tree and a rock in the forest portion of Last Stand, they can stay there indefinitely and just melee any smokers. Even tanks can't reach them.

Sorry for bumping the thread, but 3:34, first time.

I'm quite liking it so far. it looks like there can be a lot of tactics
involved with the Director spamming zombies, especially with the new maps.

My best survival mode time is 15 minutes, on the Death Toll map in the sewer-type area.
I died a bit earlier than the rest of the guys due to taking two punches in a row, which then knocked me into a molotov blaze.

The only survival map I tried so far was the Lighthouse, me and my team barely broke though the silver mark and that's when a tank punched out all my blood.

also always looking for some more people to play with, is there a steam group for this place?
