lolinternets bawwed about Notch not being butthurt when people were whining that Notch was taking a break. Something about how releasing a beta would never fly with big companies. I don't really see the point of his argument myself.

Even if it's not exactly the same, I still consider it speculation. But safer, since I get a (albeit half-finished) game out of the deal.

Re: Minecraft Infdev succession
I've gotten more out of this game than I've ever gotten out of my 2000$+ other gaming hobbies, including Modern Warfare 2. Your difference in opinion is strange, lolinternets, because the only reason you seem opposed to the situation is because Data hasn't posted a big and shiny "DONE!" sticker on the product, yet. In personal opinion, this is a game to me. The game is not crippled with bugs (on Data's end), and as-is it's still a ♥♥♥♥' blast, and it's still undergoing development! Ignoring the deal about "ITZ JUST NOT E.A. GAEMZ WAY," I'd think someone would take pride in that fact, because that means that improvements are still being made to the game! If anything, I think one should dread the day when that shiny DONE! sticker arrives. And you can't say indie-gamers have it easy financially: Firstly, it's called such because of the majority of gamers go unaware about them, added to the fact that you can only buy a game once, -at a discounted price-. Well, let's just say they don't make bank. And just look at the forums! There is an entire ♥♥♥♥ LEGION of people creating and distributing add-ons for the game for free! tl;dr (btw, what happened to the original topic? It looked something interesting.)

Re: Minecraft Infdev succession
you think that Cortex Command is higher quality than any game you've owned. that's your opinion. i think the opposite is true. i think that cortex command is one of the least quality games i own.
opinion. critical word.

Re: Minecraft Infdev succession
This topic isn't about Cortex Command, and it isn't about anybody's opinions on whether you're getting a good deal or not on indie games. It's about a Minecraft succession. If you want to discuss this, take it to another topic.

Hey guys this looks like a cool game. I'm thinking about getting it and joining you guys, but I don't really know what you do in it. I tried looking up videos but it was mostly guys just running around mountains and crap. What exactly do you do in this game?

Re: Minecraft Infdev succession
you are given a variety of different type of blocks to use to build structures.
think of it as 3D paint and voxels. you can make a wide variety of art, sculpture, or structures. duh has taken it to new heights by organizing the community.

Re: Minecraft Infdev succession
To be fair to lineage, I made mine after THOR brought the community together.
If you're not sure about the game Contrary, play the singleplayer sandbox mode for a bit. Sadly, my servers are mostly empty nowadays (aside from the ruins of past creations), but with the beta I plan to support an infinite server which should be a bit more populous.

Actually, I was gonna start playing again if I could finagle the wrapper into working.
