   |   Re: Minecraft Up and RunningGood work today, gents.
I completed a lame first draft of the lighthouse, complete with a trap (HINT: DON'T STAND ON THE GOLD TILE THEN ERASE IT); Duh made a port with a ship, and a gigantic underground lair; TT made a beautiful road. And Dauss, that madman, started making a submarine who's length takes up 1/3 of the map.

   |   Re: Minecraft Up and RunningThis might not seem like much, but consider that it was made in survival mode! It got a lot bigger but the game got buggy and shut down before I could get a screen cap. I was totally wrong about this game - totally fun. Can't wait for survival to be multiplayer.

   |   Re: Minecraft Up and RunningSo I found out a survival mode tactic: stay in the trees! I tried planting trees within the canopy of trees so I'd have a constant source of materials and never have to go back to the ground, but it didn't work out. The general thing to do is clear the tops of many trees, fill the space between them with wood, dig down their centers and rebuild them (they give more wood then is needed to rebuild).

   |   Re: Minecraft Up and RunningWhen digging in the mountains look out for above-sea-level water chambers and lava supplies. BE CAUTIOUS.
e: my epic underground lair framework is complete! If you wish to expand my subterranian-plus-underwater-plus-encased-in-lava pool, just walk towards the black pillar and descend into the inconspicuous looking hole in the sand. Feel free to build, but make it look classy - and for the love of god don't delete any glass. I am so serious right now.
