Re: World of TANKS
Do you guys know if transferring crew from a different vehicle gives any negative effects? Just because I use the M3 Stuart's crew on the Soviet vehicles I use since they're already at 100% It does appear when you hover over their profile that it shows 75% (100-25) so I suppose that is the side effect of placing a crew member in a different vehicle?

Re: World of TANKS
yeah to swap vehicles they'll probably need to be retrained to achieve their maximum potential
swapping vehicles gives a penalty and i'm pretty sure swapping an entire tank class has a bigger penalty

Re: World of TANKS
Anyone in the United Kingdom who wants some tankys and a magazine should buy PC Gamer this month It comes with the World of Warplanes beta which I have just started downloading, the M22 Locust and 3 days premium, and lastly an invite code for WoT which gives the new user 1500 gold, unfortunate for us, but I'll probably just give mine away I'll advertise it on the lounge for anyone who wants to start

Protip: If you are looking for vehicles that will always be able to deal damage, regardless of enemy tier, focus on TDs and SPGs. There are obviously exceptions to each rule, but those two classes are generally speaking the huge damage dealers. SPGs are glass cannon snipers, TDs are ambush attackers that can hide very easily and usually feature thick, sloped frontal armor capable of taking a beating. Just don't get flanked.

Americans also feature another TD line that has turrets. They're actually pretty fun.

Re: World of TANKS
I don't know which TDs you play, Dauss, but the ones I know are not capable of taking a beating. At higher tiers sure, you have ridiculous front armor values but you still cannot weather sustained fire and are vulnerable to any and every attack by a competent opponent.
TDs are still great, however. Just that the ones I've played are more suited to an overall sniping role rather than getting that close to an enemy. The exception is the Hetzer with its weird inaccurate HE snubcannon, which is absolutely murderous if you catch enemies from behind at close quarters (so good on urban maps).
Though maybe I shouldn't be talking because I've only progressed any distance into German TDs.

Re: World of TANKS
I'm up to the Somua SAu-40 in French TD's It's alright *shrugs* armour is okay and guns can pack quite the punch, it's dreadfully slow though Also starting the USSR TD's but I feel I'd just like to play a normal tank

Dauss is probably refering to the STUG III, JagdPanter, Objekt 704 and the like, they have quite good sloped bounchy armor.

Re: World of TANKS
I don't see how the type 62 is gonna be more then mediocre, super crap armor, okey speed but most french tanks are faster, good but not great gun, meh HP.
Gonna get penetrated by HE and get oneshotted by tier 9 (which it will meet often).
...And waaaaaaaaaaaaay to expensive for a Tier 6 light.

Re: World of TANKS
In mod news I started putting mods on my game German voice mod is kinda nice, shame you can't have specific voices for specific tanks And I'm just putting skins on now, they feel like the poor mans version of the camos, no matter how well done they are
