Re: Minecraft Survival Multiplayer Server
It's more boring because we don't have /item and whitty just demolished any nearby options for exploration. http://blog.shopify.com/2011/2/4/shopif ... -minecraftWhy can't we have nice things like this!

It's a creative server lol. Silly boy. Besides, what I meant was a community of minecrafters that's not dumb.

I have fought ghasts to keep our settlement safe. 6 Ghasts were slain before I fell to my death in lava because of a damn zombie pigman. Magnificent Ghastards.

Re: Minecraft Survival Multiplayer Server
Ookay. While building our settlement in the Nether my guard tower attracted the attention of the ghasts, who started ♥♥♥♥ up the bubble of Duhness. Duh, in her infinite wisdom, pulled a boatmurderd and covered the world in magma, which poured through the new holes and flooded our settlement. I plugged most of the holes with HK's help, then whitty showed up and epic'd the lava within a 100x100x100 radius. That was awesome.

Today, I slew 27 ghasts with a bow and arrows. I am officially a Magnificent Ghastard.

Re: Minecraft Survival Multiplayer Server
OK GUYS, SO: These are the sticks we're going to be getting for the RAM upgrade. I currently have the little nig running on 2x256mb and 2x512mb sticks. I plan to get these ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231039) and replace the 2x256mb sticks. HERE'S HOW WE DO: I have a PayPal account. Donate some money and we can upgrade the server a ♥♥♥♥ ton. This RAM upgrade will enable mobs and just as much continuous map roaming as before. The server will only lag whens someone lets out a huge tnt explosion or I make another //sphere 100 0. ALSO: Donators will be given some special permissions on the server. The more you donate, the more permissions you get. The sticks cost $54.99 and have free shipping. After the order is placed, they will be here within a week. I hope this goes well, and that we upgrade soon. SO. That is all. *EDIT* Well, we have all the money we need now. In less than 5 minutes as well, lol. So now I'm linking my account with a bank account and I hope to order the parts tonight. Thanks!

Re: Minecraft Survival Multiplayer Server
A heatsink on ram is kind of unnecessary for this kind of build. The pair I picked out will get the job done just swimmingly.
*EDIT* In other news, retrieving my bank account info tomorrow. So stand by.

Re: Minecraft Survival Multiplayer Server
Here's the specs on your RAM you've picked out: - 3-4-4-8 -- The RAM I pointed out has a lower timing, meaning it's slightly faster.
- 2.6V - 2.75V -- The RAM I pointed out also has a lower voltage, meaning it's cooler. The RAM also has a heat sinc, meaning heat will be less of an issue, considering this server will be online constatnly.
- ECC: No -- This means there's no error correction, which is recommended for servers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAM_parity
- Buffered/Registered: Unbuffered -- This is also bad for servers. Registered/Buffered is better for servers. http://club.myce.com/f7/buffered-ram-vs ... ram-74064/
And the RAM I pointed out is Corsair. WOOO CORSAIR But everything else is the same. They have the same CAS latency. They both have a Dual Channel Kit. They both have Limited Lifetime Warranties. I seriously recommend getting the ones I posted a link to.
