Re: Thinkin' about buying some Warhammer 40k models
I'd say go for it. The models are pretty rad, and for that price it's pretty much stealing them. Painting for fun is always best. Also, something's gone incredibly wrong with my copper paint. It hardens almost completely in a minute or two, I have to add water and stir like a madman every time I want to use it, and it seems to have degenerated into rusty metal. Which is a nice colorin itself. But not the one I was looking for. Oh, and it hardens so fast I have to paint very carefully, or large chunks of it form on the model. Heavens, it's driving me mad, specially because the hobby stores I know will only receive a new shipment of ink next month.

Some metallics like gold and copper are just like that. You have to really dilute them upon use and a wet pallet to keep them liquid for at least a little while.
And alright, bidding is done. Now to wait 4 days.

Re: Thinkin' about buying some Warhammer 40k models
Bits and kits just restocked! And I'm broke. Why am I broke when there's a chance to get the bits I need?

Re: Thinkin' about buying some Warhammer 40k models
Yes. Hell yes. HELL FUDGE YES. Except no shoulderpads yet. But man, after spending nearly a month on this, I really needed to brag a bit. 'Cause I'm a great painter. And modeler. And I'm handsome too. Okay maybe not. But I'm happy all the same.

That is the most obscure Deadnought I have ever seen.

Now, is that supposed to be a compliment or criticism?

Re: Thinkin' about buying some Warhammer 40k models
Modeling wise that looks awesome! How did you do that backpack/exaust thingie if I may ask?
And how are you counting this? As a dread with CC+heavy flamer and AC I presume?

Re: Thinkin' about buying some Warhammer 40k models
BAM! Finished! (shoulderpads are hard) And yeah, it's a dread (or vendread) with CC, flamer and storm bolter. The backpack was built out of trukk armor plates and dread exhaust pipes, since B&K had no kan engines left. I just stuck a dread shoulder pad on his back (the U-shaped one) and covered the sides with the armor. Also, thank you for liking it.

Re: Thinkin' about buying some Warhammer 40k models
The only way I'd like it more would be if the driver(?) were manning a 50 cal heavy bolter.

Re: Thinkin' about buying some Warhammer 40k models
I'm afraid that'd not be possible, i couldn't even fit a standard backpack on him. I'll try and do a heavy weapons team next, though.

Re: Thinkin' about buying some Warhammer 40k models
Let me show you a sneak peak at my "working area" or in this case a plastic platter filled with lots of gray bits. Now let's see how much kits you can spot. And here is the ultimate reason why leman russ battle tanks have a transport capacity. The gun shield looks like it's off but they aren't.

Re: Thinkin' about buying some Warhammer 40k models
Okay, hmm...
-Demon Prince -Vendread -Cadian command squad -Space puppies pack -Leman Russ (Duh) -Tau Railhead -SM sniper scouts -Cadian autocannon team -some nid, probably warrior or ravener ...yeah, that's all I can see.
Also, what are the legs on the trooper riding the tank? I've been trying to find legs like those for ages.

Re: Thinkin' about buying some Warhammer 40k models
Catachan trooper squad legs.
-There is a space wolf termi body in there on the left.(not really visible.) -Bunch of killa kan parts.(most notably the hatch on the base and the grotzooka on the left) -ORKS, EVERYWHERE! -Some asorted marine bits.(termi legs on the guy in the center, shoulder pad on the puppy infront, I believe that one is chaos.) -chaos termi lord base bit
this was all by looking at the photo, no cheating. You were right, mostly, except for the sniper bit. I can't find it on the photograph, I do have 2 and I'm fairly sure non of those was in anywhere near me when I took that picture. Also, I do not own a single nit bit.

Re: Thinkin' about buying some Warhammer 40k models
Oh, it's not the sniper itself, it's the ork skull with bullet hole that comes with that kit. /IKnowEverything
Too bad about the nids and orks, though.
