Origin has 4 times faster downloading than steam lol.

Also it'll allow DICE to just release patches without waiting for valve to approve them.

Why the hell does everyone hate Origin? Because it's made by EA?
So what? Yeah, EA has a bad self image, and they are pretty corrupt a lot of the time, but still, that doesn't change the fact that you're playing a game under the very same publisher that made the gaming platform you're using. If you hate EA that much then why aren't you boycotting the game?
Besides, as Lizard already said there are a few advantages to using Origin over Steam, even if only to play BF3.
