I love me some Soul Caliber and Budokai. In SC I'm a monster with Amy, though I haven't played in a while.

I think it's been established that I don't own a PS3.

Yeah I don't remember things so good. It's a shame, been awhile since I've been stabbed in the foot repeatedly*.

*This is a reference to Amy who has many cheap low attacks.

I used to play a lot of SC4, but I've moved on to other games since then. I have it for 360 but I ain't got no live so no matches there. I main both Siegfried and Mitsurugi though I prefer Siegfried because I love all the ♥♥♥♥ you can do with him. His stances are so much fun to play with and explore.

It seems like there's a barrier separating normal players from fighting games. I mean once you've played a few you have the proper neural paths to get you started on others, but for most its difficult. It's a lot like non gamers and games in general. You ever tried to teach your non-gamer friend to play Mario or something? ♥♥♥♥ it's like they're autistic. But once you've played a few games you know, it becomes easier to learn them.

This is one hundred percent truth. Smash Bros. is so popular because it doesn't have that problem. Anybody can pick up the controller and have a blast and it's also much easier to reach mid-level play. It's where I'm at and I only ever played it at friends houses (I main Marth and sub Peach and Ganondorf).

Just today I got warmed up again in Blazblue. I felt super sloppy for most of the time but was playing mostly scrubs so I was still winning. I also got a bit more experience with the Tager vs. Mu matchup. I really need to check Dustloop and read up on how to deal with those steins.

I mained Nightmare and played a fairly pokey spacey style with lots of A:A+B (I think that was the move?), 1K, 11K, 3K, and plenty of back dash. I once beat BentLeeT (though after like a dozen losses). I played Tira and Raphael as well- and uh, also relied heavily on pokes and fishing for whiffs.

What's your name on 8wayrun?

call me crazy but SC2 is my favorite in the Soul series. I usually play as cervantes.

SC2 is generally regarded as the best in the series by veterans. I went from Soul Blade -> SC3 -> SC4 and I later got 2. No online play and none of my friends wanted to learn how to play (though they were happy to button mash at each other) so I never really got into it.

SCV gameplay:

Being very much a fan of De-makes, I picked this up recently.
Thought it was rather good, although I'm not much of a fighting game affectionado.

Unfortunately I do not frequent 8-way run since I am merely a casual Soul Calibur player. If I were to sign up I'd go by the same name I am here.

I played some more Blazblue today. It didn't go as well as yesterday but I got quite a bit of Jin experience and learned a bit more about the Tager mirror match by getting bodied. I took a round a few times, but I never managed to take a game. I'll be sure to hold these L's in my chest.

Yeah, BlazBlue is also good times. I don't play much of it anymore, but I used to be a beast at Bang and Taokaka.
