Re: World of Tanks
Too bad an Object takes forever and a day to grind the EXP for. Although an Object is someday my dream, since I've been grinding on Russian TD since I started playing the game.
I am lovin' the KV though more and more. When you're at the top of your team in a KV, almost nothing can stop you. And I keep my weight down by using the normal turret with the 122mm cannon loaded with HE. Damn-near guaranteed kills on anything tier 4 and below.
German TDs are nice too. Like I said, Marder II is perhaps one of the best TDs in the game. Grinding the Hetzer is a chore though. I just couldn't handle anymore Hetzer hetzing. You'd think since it's basically a sloped trapezoid that it would be able to deflect shots like no one's business, but Wargaming seems to think otherwise.

Re: World of Tanks
I managed to get past the Hetzer and the Lee grinds. The Hetzer is bearable if you load 105mm HE and play it as a flanking shotgun. Lee is decent as a sort of fire support softening platform.

I'm in too. I have a question: is it multiple people in a crew for one tank?

Re: World of Tanks
My god, I'm such a complete and utter n00b at this thing. I might as well get in a hole and die.
Other than that, this is amazing and you should all apply.

I can safely say your crew is virtual, and they can be upgraded, thus the phrase "Tank characteristics are for the basic configuration with the crew trained to 100% in their major qualification." on the Tankpedia. Anyone fancy setting up a DRL Training Room for us noobs?

Re: World of Tanks
Silver is money. You buy stuff with it. Gold is special money. You buy special stuff with it, and it will cost real money once the beta ends. During the beta, instead everyone gets 150 gold per day. Bronze is free experience. Each tank has a number of experience to research things based on how much you use it. Free experience accumulates naturally but also when you spend gold to free experience from a tank that has researched everything. Free experience can be used on any tank, so if you have a tank you don't want to use but you want the one above it, then you can use it for that. Or if you want a specific weapon or part faster than normal.

Re: World of Tanks
I can usually be on around 2 P.M. Eastern time, and almost anytime after 6 P.M. Eastern. PM me if you want to get a training room going. The game isn't hard to learn but is ridiculously hard to master.
A word to the wise, Russian tanks are generally superior in every way.

Re: World of Tanks
Russian tanks are well suited to the most generally used tactics. Dependant on your playstyle, German and American tanks may suit you much better.

Re: World of Tanks
Ok ok ok, before I apply for the CBT, I've gotta know: Can you get the King Tiger? EDIT: Oh my gawd I just saw the tech tree, you can play as the Maus!?

Re: World of Tanks
Yes. Though in the upper tiers you have to do well or you won't turn a profit. The Maus is particularly hard to turn a profit in because everyone likes shooting at you because damage to you is worth lots of money. The King Tiger isn't quite as high tier though, so you could fathomably only play using that.
