Maybe because they're both by Mr. Baranowski?

They also sound very similar to the original Meat Boy game sometimes.

I need to get me a copy of that soundtrack...

Just unlocked Josef and I'm almost through the light hospital.
There is an Au Sable/All of Our Friends Are Dead warp zone. Excuse me while I rock myself to sleep weeping due to remembering how incredibly disturbing those games were.

Google and play "All of Our Friends Are Dead" and "Au Sable". They are pretty good and free.
